MY MIL WENT WITH US ON OUR HONEYMOON TO MAKE MY LIFE HELL – I DIDN'T WANT TO PUT UP WITH IT AND PLANNED THE PERFECT PAYBACK.

My husband and I were getting ready to go on our honeymoon. As we got into the car to head to the airport, my husband casually said we needed to stop by his mother's place first.

"Why?" I asked.

"Because she's coming with us. She's never been on a vacation or traveled abroad in her entire life, so it's only fair she goes with us."

To say I was stunned would be an understatement. "When were you planning to tell me this? And what about our reservations?" I demanded.

"I changed the reservations and tickets a while ago. She insisted on it, and I thought you wouldn't mind since you're such a kind person."

I WAS LIVID. He decided everything without me and changed our plans. Two weeks on the islands with my mother-in-law sounded like hell. I even thought about canceling everything, but then A BRILLIANT IDEA STRUCK ME.

I FOUND OUT MY HUSBAND OWNS A SECRET APARTMENT – WHEN MY FRIEND & I WENT THERE, WE WERE LEFT IN PURE SHOCK

My husband went on a trip with our son and his brother to visit their mother. While cleaning, I saw an email on his iPad from an apartment complex about shutting down the hot water for repairs, addressed to him by name. We own our house and haven't rented in over ten years, so this was odd.

In upstate NY, my husband had no service. I tried sending him a picture of the email, but it didn’t go through. When I called, the connection was poor, but I managed to explain. He said it must be a mistake and they had the wrong email.

If it was a mistake, how did they have his full name spelled correctly? There were no other emails from this sender, but my husband is meticulous about clearing his inbox. There was no unit number in the email, but the complex was about 15 minutes away.

I had no reason to mistrust my husband, but this email felt strange. I called my best friend for help. She found the apartment number by calling emergency maintenance, posing as a delivery driver. Then, we went there and knocked on the door. I was left in tears when the door opened because ⬇️

MY HUSBAND WENT ON A BUSINESS TRIP RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS—ON CHRISTMAS EVE, I FOUND OUT HE LIED AND WAS IN OUR CITY
So, two days before Christmas, my husband tells me that his boss called him for an urgent business trip to another city for a few days. Of course, I couldn’t argue—it’s his job, after all.
Fast forward to Christmas Eve. He calls to wish me a Merry Christmas. I wish him back and try to chat, but he suddenly cuts me off, yelling, “I can’t talk! I have to go now!” Go where? Late at night on Christmas Eve? Weird, right?
Then it hits me—BINGO! I remember I left my fitness tracker in his car a few days ago. I open the app on my phone, and guess what I see? HIS CAR IS PARKED AT A HOTEL RIGHT HERE IN OUR CITY!
Without thinking twice, I jump into my car and head straight to that hotel. And there it is, his car sitting in the parking lot!
I burst into the hotel and approached the reception desk ⬇️

After we got married, my in-laws faced a series of misfortunes and lost their home and jobs. They begged my mom, who lives alone and is paralyzed with the help of a nurse, to let them move into her house. She generously agreed. Initially, everything seemed fine. My mother-in-law cooked meals, and my father-in-law mowed the lawn. But it wasn’t long before their attitude shifted. They began to grumble about how my mom occupied the entire first floor of her own home (which was inevitable), complained about the simple food in her fridge (which they only ate because she bought it), and started suggesting that she should move to a nursing home. I asked my mom if she wanted me to ask them to leave, and she reassured me, “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.” And she did! My mom announced that she would be moving into a nursing home and that the in-laws could now take over the entire first floor. They thought they had won and eagerly prepared to claim their newfound space.
