Need a Christmas meal?
Several Cape Ann and North Shore volunteer groups, a restaurant, and other organizations are once again providing sit-down and take-out Christmas meals for those in need.

Those who need food to prepare Christmas dinner at home should contact their local food pantry.

The Gloucester American Legion, 8 Washington St., is delivering Christmas meals to Cape Ann-area residents in need (Gloucester, Rockport, Manchester, Essex, Hamilton, Wenham and Ipswich). Call 351-217-8010 anytime and leave a message, or email [email protected], by Friday, Dec. 20, at 5 p.m. When signing up, leave your name (spelling last name), address (including town), phone number, and number of meals. Volunteer drivers are welcome, as well as monetary donations.

Calvary Baptist Church, 4 Coolidge Road in Peabody, 978-531-0914, will be offering a sitdown meal on Christmas Day with doors opening at 4 p.m. Dinner will be served at 5:30 p.m.

My Brother’s Table, 98 Willow St., Lynn, is providing to-go and sit-down Christmas meals to individuals and families from 2-6 p.m.

Up to five extra meals are available for people to take to neighbors, friends, etc. who are unable to pick up a Christmas meal to-go for themselves.

No volunteers are needed for Christmas Day, but the group needs volunteers the rest of the year. For more information go to https://bit.ly/VolunteerMBT or contact [email protected]

Living Faith United Methodist Church, 2 Dane St., Beverly, 978-927-1066, will be serving a sit-down meal for their Wednesday night supper on Dec. 25 at 6 p.m.

LifeBridge, 56 Margin St., Salem, will be serve meals on Christmas Day for those with reservations. To sign up, please RSVP no later than Sunday, Dec.22, by dropping by the day center or calling the main number 978-744-0500. There will be no to-go meals.
