Gloucester County Public Schools – Two-Hour Delay Announcement
Due to anticipated weather conditions, all Gloucester County Public Schools will operate on a two-hour delay on Wednesday, January 22, 2025.

The National Weather Service predicts less than 1 inch of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. However, cold temperatures may increase the risk of icy roadways, potentially causing travel issues.

Road assessment teams will evaluate conditions early tomorrow morning. Should road conditions warrant further adjustments, additional changes to the schedule may be announced early tomorrow.

Buses will run their routes two hours later than normal, and all schools will open two hours later than their regular start time.

We encourage everyone to travel safely and stay tuned for updates via email, text, and the GCPS website.

LANGHORNE, Pa. - Christopher Newport University plays the third of four straight road games Monday afternoon when the seventh-ranked Captains take on the Highlanders of Cairn University. Tip off is set for 3:00 p.m. at Mason Activity Center on the Cairn campus.

John Krikorian's Captains are coming off a 77-72 loss Wednesday night at Randolph-Macon College. The defeat snapped a five-game CNU winning streak, and dropped the Captains to 14-4 on the year. Christopher Newport trailed by two at halftime, 36-34, and the teams exchanged the lead 13 times in the back-and-forth battle, with six lead changes coming in the second half. The teams were never separated by more than six points, and were knotted seven times, including a 68-68 tie with 1:58 to play before a 9-4 game-ending run by the 16th-ranked Yellow Jackets. Sophomore Ethan Ward led the way in scoring for the Captains with 19 points..

NEWPORT NEWS, Va. - Christopher Newport University and Randolph-Macon College square off tonight in a Top 20 showdown at Crenshaw Gymnasium on the R-MC campus in Ashland, Va. Tip off is set for 7:00 p.m.

Christopher Newport University began a stretch of four straight road contests last Wednesday night, recording an 85-66 victory at Johns Hopkins University. The win was CNU's fifth straight, and ninth in the last ten games for the Captains, who moved up from 12th to 7th in the national poll this week from D3hoops.com.
