The story of Morocho, the dog who saved two girls from a puma In the year 2008, in the south of Argentina two sisters of a close-knit family of countryside: Yoli and Sofi, went to collect figs from a fig tree close to the house. As it was customary for them, they climbed the tree to pluck the fruits from the branches. When Yoli was standing on these, she noticed a strange figure resting on the branches of that fig tree. It was a Cougar! This feline, also known as a mountain lion, can weigh more than 80 pounds. The danger was huge! Realizing the great risk that was running and filled with fear, Yoli tried to get down from the tree as fast as possible. However, because of how fast he was going down, he slipped and fell to the ground. Once on the ground, Yoli and Sofi began running as fast as possible to escape that feline; however, the cougar was running after them. Fortunately, his big pet: An Argentinian dog named Morocho came to the rescue, and even though his weight was almost half the puma's, he began to fight with him to protect the two little sisters. Alarmed by the screams of the girls, their father Tomás went running towards the place. At first he believed that a snake had caused his daughters' screams, but upon approaching the site he found Morocho very injured. A few meters away from that cruel scene, the Puma found on the ground, dead. So, he picked up Morocho and took him to the farm to heal his wounds. After 10 days of love and care, he recovered.
