A line of fans that stretched around the building for blocks and a sold-out show heralded the arrival of The Red Clay Strays to The Fillmore Silver Spring on 18 September. If I had to describe the instrumentals, vocals, and lyrics of The Red Clay Strays I’d use just three words: Raw. Heartfelt. Earnest. However, it’s not just the composition of their musicality where they shine. The band has all but mastered the subtle art of musical delivery.

🔥🔥🔥 Concert Review! 🔥🔥🔥

Grace Bowers & The Hodge Podge are, without a doubt, the complete package. The band is comprised of talented musicians with outstanding stage presence and, earlier this year, they released a truly impressive debut album, “Wine On Venus,” in August. Led by guitar phenom Grace Bowers, who wields a guitar with the musical technicality and creativity of Jimi Hendrix, the 17-year-old’s style combines 70s rock and funk with blues.

🔥🔥🔥 Concert Review! 🔥🔥🔥
Colde put on a fiery performance at The Fillmore Silver Spring, with close to 1,000 fans coming from far and wide to see the singer take to the stage. With a line that wrapped around the venue and extended for blocks, the crowd erupted into cheers when the Seoul-based musician took to the stage, putting on a performance with songs selected from his impressive and ambitious catalog.

Founded in 2020, Mikage Project is comprised of Kouki Sato who plays the shakuhachi, Sho Asano who plays the tsugaru shamisen, and Takashi Honma who plays the twenty-five string koto. They perform traditional folk songs with a modern flair, incorporating modern instruments and musical elements from other genres, such as salsa, into their music. Through their music, MIKAGE PROJECT aims to connect the younger generation to Japanese history, culture, and traditions. Mississippi-born blues guitarist Christone "KINGFISH" Ingram brought his original blend of blues, rock, gospel, and soul to The Fillmore Silver Spring on 27 June. His performance was less of a vocalist playing the guitar while singing and more of a duet between the two. Kingfish makes the guitar sing in a way that would surely earn an approving nod from Jimi Hendrix.

Japanese alternative metal band SiM (Silence iz Mine) brought their PLAYDEAD World Tour, the band's first-ever North America headlining tour, to The Fillmore Silver Spring on 15 May. The band, whose music has been featured in the hit anime Attack on Titan, excels at dancing along the line of light and dark, between chaos and calm.
