My name is Andrea and I am an accidental crafter, who just doesn't fit in the typical box. I love organizing and being neat, I cannot function in a mess! I got into crafting many years ago but didn't ever fall in love with crafting and art until I got my first Silhouette cutting machine. Very soon after that I got requests and orders. I had no intention of starting a business, I was in the middle

of what turned into 7 surgeries on my right ankle. But wearing a few custom shirts to physical therapy had other patients and the therapists asking me to do orders. From there it spiraled into tons of product creation. Unfortunately in the end of all my surgeries I ended up physically disabled and live in chronic pain. However there is a massive silver lining - I realized my passion laid in design and teaching others to succeed. And that's how this version of My Very Crafty Life came to be. I look forward to collaborating and crafting with you through file creation and video tutorials. I specialize in dye sublimation and vinyl but I truly just love learning and creating and trying! When your dog always has energy! We have played fetch for 45 min outside, indoor fetch and training for around an hour. She’s chewed a bone, done a puzzle and has decided to play bed fetch with herself. So far I’ve been minimally needed. However her most cherished toy ever, Queen Lamb Chop has been utilized for trapping the toy before it rolls off the bed. Mind you QLC was placed in her position specifically before this game started by Mocha. It has saved Mocha from the ball accidentally leaving the bed and ruining her game of bed fetch. 🤣🤷‍♀️ I mean at least she’s good at entertaining herself?
Mocha thinks her Hooman is a bit of an idiot btw bc Mocha has 100% been happy doing this herself and doesn’t get why I need to photograph or share this story. Paws Out 🐾

Hey Crafty Friends! It’s been a minute… life is still pretty chaotic, but that all is hopefully wrapping up by fall and then life can finally be a new normal. I’m not going to crazy into detail but let’s just say I’m adding up the amount of things they can diagnose you with. I swear sometimes they just feel they have to add to it 🤣 but I’m doing okay, Mocha is a great keeper of the Hooman. She’s happy and healthy, just hates the heat and humidity since she can’t stay outside and play all day.
We’ve been over here crafting, creating, making and coming up with some amazing new stuff that I can’t wait to share. It’s just slow going with so many doctors visits and what not.
I’d love to see your smiling 🙂 face or whatever you want to share (no links please) that you’ve been up to! I’ll be starting to post more, I have some goals I’m trying to meet to get back into the land of the living not just the land of the sick. But I am also trying to learn balance (I know crazy right?). I miss you all and can’t wait to hear some updates!! 💜

Recommendations wanted for places to get nickel free earrings! I definitely want flat back style too. So definitely let me know if you have places you get yours from that you love!
Today I managed to do something that’s been on my list for what seems like forever. I went and got my ear piercings checked out and fixed. The good thing was she found that 3 of the 4 were still open, just 2 of those 3 needed a little help, which was cool to see how they do that! So if you think your piercing is closed it may not be yet! The 4th was open but the back angle was off and she felt redoing the back of the piercing was best long term for comfort. I’m excited since I own exactly 2 pairs of earrings that I can now get some new fun options!

Her Floofiness has outgrown her Halloween costume, she wanted to wear it today so I got it out and it’s just too small so I either need to modify it or make her a new one! Since I’m coming up with exactly nothing interesting… what would you pick for Mocha’s Halloween costume this year? She has been a little celebrity both years in it, she helps give out candy to the kids but she gets so many people wanting to just come see her in her costume, including the vet asking me to bring her in costume 🤣 they all took pics with her last year, and I love that she makes others happy too.
I’m not “set” on a coffee theme. I’m 100% willing to do a joint costume, I usually just wear one of the Halloween shirts I’ve made over the years, but could totally do something with her…. So help me find an idea please!!!

Guess whose laser is as clean as when they got it (or close)? Spent a good 90 min deep cleaning this tonight. I don’t typically go for THIS level of clean but I’ve got a new external ventilation system and I want to be sure my laser is as safe and reliable to use for as long as I can. So instead of cutting, piecing items together or test cutting new files I got this done. It’s never the fun task to clean the gunk, which is essentially burnt glue off of all the surfaces, but necessary. Did you know you can have a fire in these? Tomorrow I’m hoping to get the crumb tray done and then this weekend be ready to create again! Also don’t forget it is best to let your laser dry fully first after a good a clean. I do wipe it down with dry paper towels to keep the moisture to a minimum but I also typically leave the crumb tray, and front piece open for at least overnight so first it doesn’t corrode and second those wet spots would just attract more dirt. So it does put you on hold but safety first!!! What task have you been putting off in your craft room?

Just an idea for you. Studies show moving your phone to grayscale reduced usage. I couldn’t stand the concept of it fully gray. I would find myself actively turning it off. Well…. You can now (on iPhone) do this on a spectrum. So for me I’ve left some color but dulled it down by about half. First pic is screenshot of full color, second of moving it to half. Now this isn’t a dramatic difference but I do plan to keep working towards the greyscale side until I find my phone less desirable to spend time on when I’m not working… plus I’d really like to use my tablet more, which I’ve opted to download NO social media on… maybe this will help!
Too many days lately of having to be couch bound and isolated from everyone due to illness, it’s getting to me a lot! I’ve used this trick before and especially if you are neurodivergent, this decreases the dopamine hits you get from your phone!

I’ve been doing something fun(?) well productive at least. I (with an exceptional amount of help) cleaned out my storage unit! I used this mainly not knowing where I was going after selling my last house. Then it was nice to be able to get settled and sort through what I had needed to first. But I turned it over be other day, empty as can be! Now all my craftiness stuff is in 1 place and I am very excited! No wondering where it all is or not having it all when I need it. Let’s celebrate & craft together this weekend LIVE!

Reminder to go and add an authentication option to your social media accounts. Create a backup profile that admins your pages and groups! Had an attempted takeover but I prevailed because this was in place!!! I have on 2 factor authentication with my emails, phone and authentication app. The reason I could reset came down to my authentication app! Just remember if you reset your phone to get your accounts backed up first. Meta won’t reset if you don’t! Learned that lesson with luckily a much easier company to get help with…

I had to share this really funny phenomenon this morning. The front yard had snow around 645am but around 730 the snow in the front had melted due to the cars driving by but the snow in the back was still going strong! 🤣
I can’t say I’m not completely disappointed it’s such a LITTLE amount of snow… I love snow! But it also didn’t ruin my plans for today which is good and bad. I really really don’t want to get out of bed - my pain levels are not conducive to wanting to do that. But in doing so I’ll have made huge progress on moving things out of storage and setup the spaces here. Sooo I guess once meds work and the room heats up it’s time to get going!

I’m not a big New Years Resolution/Goal fan. ONLY b/c I worked in fitness & nutrition I would see people start on Jan 2, with big dreams & no idea what they needed to do to succeed. They would either not find the time, get injured or not be ready for the amount of work needed to get there. First I want to say this: Jan 1 should NOT be the only time you look at your goals, dreams and aspirations; but it can be a good time for many people to reflect & social media have time to look to future goals.
For me, Im heading into a stressful time but one that will allow me to begin a healing journey I’ve desperately needed. In the past, I would’ve let this be an excuse - I can’t because… And it’s not a false statement. There are definitely things I can’t or won’t be able to do because of the situation. I’m not letting that 💩 situation dictate what I can do for myself, my business, Mocha and my friendships.
This year I set 2 goals that will take the entire year! I will review & work towards every single month.
Here they are:
1. Low Spending Year: I will talk more about this as I go, but I made VERY specific do’s and don’ts. Every month I will review the rules I WROTE down, stored in my planner. This will widely vary based on your spending, needs, wants, etc. Things I’ve kept: ☕️ stops - but restricted. Time to be with friends/family- meals, events, etc. as this is highly important to me!
I’m not restricting energy, gas, water costs- comfort while I go through all this stress is more important. Mochas training, grooming and treats. However, no more clothes & no new toys, she has SO many. Lots of more rules too… let me know if you are interested & I’ll share more!
2. Reduce 50% of Stuff - I am not going for an exact science nor am I counting. My goal is to reduce the clutter & extras, things that don’t serve me or I dislike. My goal is to have a life in which I can mostly manage on my own. Where help allows me to expand and do more, not just barely survive. This includes my work stuff! I can’t wait!

Merry Christmas Crafty Friends! I truly hope if you are celebrating you have a wonderful, happy and safe holiday. If you aren’t then Happy Chinese Food Day 🤣🤷‍♀️🙃 I had planned to do that today but turns out the place I love for Chinese food was closed. Maybe for New Years Eve instead.
Did you make any of the gifts you gave or did you receive any new crafty things? I’d love to see them in the comments! I made a few orders but the gift I made was actually a birthday gift for my sister in law and was a really cool advent calendar made of mini books. I’ll put a pic of some of them in the comments!

How cool are these card boxes? One is off to my good friend CustomArt for a gift for her son. And the other, well I can’t decide do I list and sell it or gift it? These are both put together with pressure and slots, no glue! Which I just think is so cool 😎 when I do purses I try and get the same thing where I don’t do much adhesive so it’s just a snug fit. I want to do more purses, what do you think? 🤔 I am so close to finishing up last minute orders for the season, how about you? Apparently I’m full of questions tonight!

It only took me a few months but my new chair is finally together 😂 I love my big comfy teddy bear chair but the back height means most of my background in videos was being covered up. I also found I really needed 2 different chairs depending on how I felt that day. Sometimes the big chair just too much. So I did some research and found this one (link below/in bio on Amazon). I did want the ADHD Yoga one but the $450 price tag was a no go for me. This one I waited for a sale, got it then promptly did nothing… until today! Now I finally have my other chair ready to go!

Thank you! Today I packed up my car to deliver all the gifts for the family I “adopted” with your help! Worthdays was over the moon and I couldn’t have done it without your help. Mocha and I are enjoying this thanksgiving day with beautiful weather. A low key Lunch with my brother and SIL. I’m excited I got my table from storage so my brother and I will bring that in and then have our first Thanksgiving together in a very long time! I’m so grateful for all of you, your unwavering support and love for me these past couple of tumultuous years. I look forward to what’s to come. 💜 have a wonderful and happy day. Is Sublimation on your wish list? Then go grab this printer! (Link in comments or bio to my Amazon page). I always recommend starting with the Epson’s that use cartridges. First because it’s less of a commitment. If you don’t like sublimation it’s about 15 min to change back to inkjet. Second thing is the workforce printers give you a LOT more print sizes. This one is $150 ($100 off) right now.

This family has twins! I have to admit that sounds like a lot but let’s chat about these brother & sister 9 year old twins. They both have names starting with the initial J! So I’ll designate J(A) for the female twin and J(B) with the male twin. 🌟 J(A) is a female 9 year old twin. Her favorite color is Orange! J(A) is a budding artist 🎨 who is into drawing and computers. Her current needs are pants, underwear and and shirts. Sizes are Adult Medium, Pants size 16 & Shoe size 7.5 women’s. Her wish list is art station, computer or phone. I’d love to find a way to foster J(A)’s love of art this Christmas!!! ⭐️ J(B) is the other half of our fraternal twins. His favorite color is Light Blue. He is currently really into football and gaming. I’ll need to get some more info on clothing needs - but sizes are YS Medium, 16 pant, 7.5 shoe - I’m sure a growing kid could definitely use fresh clothes. Let’s Chat About These Kiddos! I signed up for sponsoring a family in need this holiday and this family is who needed me and US because I want these kids to have a little time over the holidays to celebrate and be happy and have some things they wouldn’t have otherwise. So there is 6 (OMG my ADHD got me and totally didn’t read prior to this how many kids it could be 😂🤷‍♀️🤦‍♀️) but it’s still less than all the kids I am used to shopping for, and these kids - they are being given a little respite from a stressful situation. They are all together at home right now, but they may lose their home soon. Everyone is stepping in to help so they can remain home and together - this is where we come in: making Christmas extra special! So here is the oldest and youngest! I don’t want to overwhelm. So I’ll do 3 posts altogether. 🎁 The littlest girl is 1.5 years old, first initial starts with a J. J’s favorite color so far is pink! She’s in need of footie pajamas, boots and pants! Wishes for J’s needs are: educational toys. She loves Minnie Mouse & Ms. Rachel. 🎄 Our oldest kiddo is 16 year old boy, first letter of his name is A. A’s favorite color is black. He is learning to work on cars! What a great opportunity for him to have a passion driving him - he would love a car tool box. But let’s chat his needs: clothing is pants, shirts and (ideally) Nike shoes. I need to find sizes for tops but he’s size 34 pant and size 12 shoes. Hi Elves! Does anyone else have a spectacular mess going on? I will cleaning my main floor today hopefully including my office/craft room space. One tip I want to give before you start cleaning up and resetting - look at your mess, not just to clean it up and make a plan, but what are your issues that led you to the mess? Was it just that you were too busy and didn’t clean up or is it time to re-evaluate some of your workspace or organizing needs? I know for me the biggest area and issue is trash and recycling. I have NO idea what to do about it. Sublimation makes tons of recycling and my other items tons of trash. I have bins for both but are obviously inadequate. But if I use bigger bins those tend to be harder to grab and move around. So I will definitely be considering what could work better for me in the future. Maybe it’s a pain point I need to be more conscientious of or maybe there is a good solution. But evaluating the mess before you clean it up, just may lead you to making less of a mess in the future!!
