In California all real estate agents have been sent several warnings this year about scammers going after vacant land and homes.

The fake homeowners contact real estate agents to sell their properties. The home goes on the market and the home sells without the real owner ever knowing what’s going on with their property.

This was almost the case with my neighbor. As soon as I found out his land was posted on the market for sale, I immediately contacted him. He couldn’t believe it. After a quick call to an attorney at the CA Department of Real Estate, I was able to point my neighbor in the right direction. A couple calls later, he was able to get things in motion to stop the sale which included filing a police report.

He’s going to be okay and I’m glad we got this handled within minutes. And now there is a process in place to stop these scammers.

I sure hope this scam doesn’t start for the homeowners on Maui. I pray the district attorney puts a stop to all burned homes and lots from being sold. Otherwise, it would be one devastation on top of another.

Island residents said they have seen people stealing gas from tanks and have gotten calls from real estate investors looking to buy their property.

🚨🚨🚨 Vacant Property and Land Owners 🚨🚨🚨

Be on the lookout for recent real estate scams going on in California. Scammers are pretending to be the property owners. They sign listing agreements with unsuspecting real estate agents who then put the property on the market for sale.

Be very careful. If you suspect your property is being sold contact the title company or the local police.

With slab foundations you just have to remember to never ever cut into the slab as it will ruin the structural integrity. Especially never cut the rebar.

With crawl space there will always be updates needed with older homes. Don’t fear foundation costs when buying a home, it’s just part of the maintenance.
