We are thrilled to partner with Sarah Decker Husby to bring free holiday contests to the Gig Harbor community! 🎉 After the fantastic success of last year’s Harbor Holiday Lights contest, we expanded this year with our first-ever Haunt Your House Halloween Contest! 🎃👻 With 14 spooky homes and 356 community votes, it was an incredible turnout!

Setting goals is one thing. Getting it accomplished is another.

I'm currently reading Atomic Habits by James Clear and one quote that stuck with me is "Goals are good for setting a direction, but systems are best for making progress.". This book has some great insights and tips for how to use habits to help rather than hinder, like habit stacking.

One goal I set for this quarter was to clear my inbox daily. Well, life happens and when I looked at my inbox yesterday, I had over 700 emails to go through. This morning, I got that lovely "No new mail!" message. It only lasted about 30 seconds BUT you have to start somewhere.

I showed you mine, now you show me yours. What's one of your goals and how's it going?

We often joke about being part of the 'flat butt club,' but sitting all day without movement is no joke for your health. I’ve personally struggled with remembering to give my eyes a break and staying active throughout the day. The Time Out app has been a game changer for building better habits. It's free, customizable, and has really helped me stay on track. You can find it on the Mac App Store—definitely worth checking out!
