We know you've seen it already. It's everywhere. This kind of news travels fast. The music world...and the world in general...suffered a significant loss today. There's a lot of people out there that are not okay right now.
When the first guitar riffs can summon an entire generation before the words 'All Aboard!' are even spoken, when he helped shape an entire genre and made waves in the music industry, when he influenced so many young rockers, metalheads and musicians for multiple generations after, how can you put into words what that loss means? Many of us were raised with speakers blaring songs like Crazy Train, Iron Man, Bark at the Moon, and Shot in the Dark on vinyl records, tapes and cd's, and still have them firmly implanted in our streaming lists to this day. Tributes and posts are pouring in while his songs are being blasted yet again all over streams and radio stations. He was a chaotic, wild spirit on stage- a voice for the darker side of rock and metal but loved what he did, loved his family, loved his fans and was obviously equally loved in return. There's whole generations of people out here still speechless, still hurting, not sure what to really say. How do you say enough about a legend like Ozzy Osborne?
You can't.
The only thing that I can think of to say to all the fans like myself who are hurting right now and as some small tiny tribute is this-
Just because he is no longer with us here on Earth does not mean he is gone. Ozzy is one of the greats, a musical legend, and legends never truly die. He was our Prince of Darkness for a reason. It was more than the music, it was the words behind it, what it meant- that even someone struggling or battling their inner demons can make a difference to people. He left a legacy, he left us his voice, his music, and now it's up to us to keep the madness alive and keep the crazy train going.
🚂 All aboard.

The Prince has taken his final throne.
Rest in Peace, Ozzy.
