But the Lord has promised to restore what the locusts have eaten and I shall be satisfied. Please don’t think this is about food & crops. I'm Sierra, I make art. But not one kind of art in particular. I create wall art; textured, abstract, & resin. I create functional art; coasters, decor trays, & even tables. I just love to create.
I use different mediums, textures, & methods to create. I've been doing this since 2017, I started this journey as a fluid artist. I'd pour paint on a canvas and maniuplate the paint until I liked how it looked. Experimenting with different forms of art has given me the opportunity to grow as an artist.

I’ve always taken pride in the fact that I can’t duplicate my own artwork because each piece is made by hand and usually the designs are so abstract & unique there’s no way I could replicate it. SOMETHING is going to be different. Even when using the same technique, no two pieces will look the same.
“Heart Matter” however is such a simple design (yet incredibly bold & beautiful) that I was sure I could make a piece similar. 🖤🤍🖤🤍 I think I accomplished my mission while still not actually replicating the original.

Would you believe me if I said it’s super easy to do? But some level of skill (practice) is necessary. My first few tries were fails. I had to tweak the texture to find the perfect consistency. I had trial and error with finding the proper tools. I wasted a lot of money. 🤦🏽♀️

I create art, I use different methods and mediums to achieve certain results. I manipulate paint, resin, texture pastes, and even clay to create pieces that can be used to decorate your home or style your office.
I used to think in order to be respected as an ✨artist✨ I had to separate myself from others who create home decor.
Who the heck said that and why was I holding myself to someone else’s standards and opinions?

Fun fact about this piece: I asked my daughter what she thought of it when I finished it. She said she thinks it looks like “the skies of Heaven”. She’s only 10 and she’s a dreamer, so I didn’t think twice about the specifics of that answer. I just said, well that’s what I’ll name it.

So that’s how it became “Skies of Heaven”. It was my first piece creating with texture other than crushed glass. And it’s still my favorite. 🥰❤️

Some may know this tip already, some may not.🤷🏽♀️ I’m just sharing what other people charge for. A long while ago, I ordered some spray from another artist that was for this very thing, removing air bubbles. Once I received it and used it, I noticed the smell…it was nothing more than acetone. So naturally, I just started spending the 2 dollars on nail polish instead of purchasing from that artist again. NO HATE OR SHAME TO THE ARTIST, we all are just out here trying to make a living. I absolutely get it. But I’m not a gatekeeper of information that other artists could benefit from. 😊

If you do try this, here’s what you should know: Once you spray the first time, more air bubbles may rise to the top after a few minutes, just spray again. Repeat as needed. But I guarantee you, it works! No more damaging your molds with heat guns.

Finally finished these beautiful abstract pieces from last week. I LOVE how they turned out. Adhering them to a thick piece wood was a great idea as I didn’t want to frame these, now I don’t have to. The gold textured trim acts a a frame actually, now they’re ready to be hung on a wall.
