Garland Recording Studio

Garland Recording Studio Independent artists from all over Texas consider this studio "home", at about half the price of simi I've got a recording studio in a commercial business area.

It's not a home studio, it's not a big studio. I am running Neumann mics into an API pre-amp and Pro Tools HD. I am a grown up - I've been writing, recording and working with music for many years. I purchase the right equipment to do this in a professional way. I work with people in a comfortable way. I'm in a band, so I apply and evaluate songwriting techniques that I've learned from every genre.

I've enjoyed learning from the variety of styles that record with me; that's been everything from rock bands, hip hop, acoustic guitar, Churches, jazz, singers, country, polka, brass band, native African, native Turk, sitar, spoken word and an Elvis impersonator. I've introduced lots of talented people to other talented people. I've hosted special projects, free of charge, to help people get to know each other. I've lived in the Dallas area my whole life, and I frequently run into people that I have worked with. In summary, I understand this community and how things work. I'm also incredibly fair in the way I deal with people. Who records with me? Mostly it's referrals. I post an ad on Craigslist about once every 60 days, just to stay booked up. But at my low rate ($ 30 to record, mix and master) and quality, I stay busy. People return, working on full length CDs, or their latest idea. They come back because it's a bargain. They can afford to record professionally. They've found a studio that they are comfortable in, that does a great job, and where I listen closely to what they are trying to capture. I meet a lot of people that come from other recording experiences (at home or in a big studio) where they simply can't affiord the high cost and low quality anymore. Every dollar you spend on a recording has got to matter, because recordings (unlike everything else in life) are made to last forever. I totally believe that. Why record so inexpensively? I am at a nice round number ($ 30). I make the rent, electric, insurance, alarm company, phone, internet... those expenses gotta be paid or else I would just sit in the studio and record myself all the time. But my low rate is as low as I can go and still operate the place. I would rather have the studio well-known with everyone coming in than charge more and only work 3 days a week. I know the economy sucks right now / I know people need a discounted price or else they can't do cool stuff like record. I want it to be easy for you to decide to record with me. The sound quality is excellent and the price is the lowest possible. I hope you'll take a minute to visit my web site at http://www.garlandrecordingstudio.com
and then send an email or call me. Tell me about your recording project and I'll put together an outline and a price that should solve the problem. I am trying very hard to be the studio you'll work with for a long time. That means treating people right and giving them a great sound. Let's talk soon. Thanks,
-Tom
