Some aviation history for the day:

Today marks the 15th anniversary since US Airways 1549, an Airbus A320 jet (registered as N106US) suffered a bird strike causing both engines to fail. The heroic pilot Captain “Sully” Sullenberger made the historic sacrifice to safely land the aircraft in the Hudson River where all passengers and crew survived. It’s been given the title “Miracle on the Hudson”.

At some point, I would like to visit the new Sullenberger Museum in Charlotte to see the actual aircraft that was involved in the incident and some of the history behind it.

Happy Wright Brothers Day! Today marks 120 years since aviation changed the world forever since two brave brothers took the worlds first powered airplane to flight for 12 seconds to go 120 ft. Aviation Proud! ✈️

I created this page simply because I have a significant passion for aviation and want to share how the aviation world is impacting my life. My goal is to grow my page more promoting my posts and creating diversity. Aviation has come a long way since the Wright Brothers first created a flying machine that changed our history forever. There are so many opportunities in aviation these days. I recently got my private pilot license in July 2021 and my long-term goal is to be an airline pilot.
