Last weekend I photographed Special Olympics Maryland Summer Games. It is my happy place, where I always feel at home, surrounded by incredible athletes and their families; friends and awesome staff. That feeling where everybody has each other’s back. I took this photo at the award ceremony for the swimming competition. Pure joy! For her and for me.
