“Oh how powerful the pure love of Jesus.” This is a line from the Christian classic, “The Imitation of Christ,” by Thomas A Kempis, written in the 1400s. That line jumped out at me as I read, and led me to pen the lyrics you will hear as you listen to this song.

The same beautiful, pure love that has compelled Christians for over 2,000 years, still calls to us today. We are still in awe of his goodness, his sacrifice. It’s that same love that compels us to love our neighbor as ourselves, and it is that same love that gives us hope for eternity.

As inadequate as mere words are to convey this love, I pray you will get a glimpse of it as you listen, and you will know the pure, wonderful, and beautiful love of Jesus.
