The UIL Legislative Council has voted to split into divisions and award two State championships in each Class in volleyball, basketball, soccer, baseball and softball beginning this upcoming school year. Districts will remain the same and four teams will still make the playoffs with the two schools with highest enrollments going into Division I, and the smaller two schools going into Division II.

Two Cooke County baseball players have received All-State honors from the Texas High School Baseball Coaches Assocation. In Class 2A, Muenster's Brody Tyler was a 2nd Team All-State selection. In Class 3A, Callisburg's Tripp Hazel was a 3rd Team All-State selection. Congrats to both on outstanding seasons.
