Every day, my elderly neighbor, Mrs. Madison, who's pushing 80, would arrive and leave at the same time as me—or so I thought. But then I noticed something strange: she never actually leaves her car. Curiosity got the best of me, so I walked over and saw her bundled up in a blanket, sleeping in the front seat. The back was packed with boxes of groceries.
It didn't make sense—she had a big house, so why was she living out of her car? One freezing night, I couldn't ignore it anymore. I invited her into my home, figuring no one, let alone an elderly woman, should be sleeping in a car in this weather.
