Kuehl's Flowers - a colorful sight to see - There is a picturesque sight to see as one drives US Highway 59. Although the location of the address of 104 US Highway 59 is south (just a tad) of Fulda, the best way to see this colorful flowering sight is to view it heading north. Bob and Tammy Kuehl are the owners of the acreage. See full story in the September 11th Fulda Free Press & Murray County News.

Hadley Lutheran Church to celebrate 150th anniversary - There was a shortage of funds at Hadley Lutheran Church and the small congregation’s council meeting was consumed with worry about an outstanding bill of about $500. The mail arrived the next day with an unexpected, anonymous note. And a check. For $500. “Some of the stuff that’s happened, it just floors you,” said Bonnie (Johnson) Petersen, a lifelong member of the church. “God is always looking out for us.” It’s been that way for 150 years and counting with the Hadley Lutheran community, and now the congregation is planning an anniversary bash on Sept. 15 to mark the occasion. Call it a parish party. Or perhaps a celestial celebration. The reason for the observance? “Because,” said 87-year-old Bob Wornson, the oldest Hadley Lutheran member, “this church has been a big blessing to us all.” Full story can be found in the September 4th edition of the paper.
