Winner of the 2023 Friday Harbor Film Festival Audience Choice Award for the best in-theatre feature the film follows Patrick Dykstra who has dedicated his life to following and diving with whales. He has learned how whales see and hear, how they perceive other creatures in the water, and how they behave at close quarters.
This allows him to get closer than anyone else alive.

They have community garden patches, family plots, market garden space, and berry patch and orchard space available to Grangers and non-Grangers alike.

Come to a brief presentation and Q&A session at the Grange Hall and then carpool with us to the farm site on Roche Harbor Road near Sutton Road for a 2PM guided tour

The presentation will feature Joe Brewer, internationally renowned for his work in regeneration and bioregionalism, community artist and weaver Clare Attwell, and Brandon Letsinger, founder of Cascadia Now! and the Department of Bioregion (of which Regenerate Cascadia is a project).

Joe Brewer is a global leader in bioregional regeneration and system complexity. He is a transdisciplinary scholar with a background in both earth sciences and cognitive sciences. He’s an inspiring speaker and leading-edge systems complexity thinker.

He will lead a series of conversations, workshops and presentations to weave, highlight and empower amazing place-based networks, innovations and on-the-ground work happening across watersheds in the Cascadia bioregion.

This tour is a powerful example of clear vision
combined with local action.
