Participating artist Deeksha NAYYAR Arya dedicates her artworks in this year's International exhibition in humble request for her Mother, who has just passed away in 2022 and this 28th of April it's going to be her 2nd year death Anniversary. In respect and honor of her Mom, she has now changed her business name to Maayka by Mom "MAAYKA" (Indian term used by brides for their mom's house) BY MOM.

Three unique paintings of master artist Johnny Esj Otilano ... Synopsis, Dreams and Sumpa (Curse) made him for what he is: an achievement par excellence of which he will paint the town red ... er New York City and will receive accolades due for a master painter that ... sans competitions from the several artists the world over (well, as of now) he will be second to none.
Be that as it may, it's deemed necessary he will be granted the honors of being in the limelight with an equivalent of Hollywood Walk of Fame in the world of contemporary art.
The almost life time award due for a master painter that he is... in the mold of Leonardo Da Vinci, Claude Monet, and Matisse (am tempted to role them into one) was an arduous process of suffering, privations let alone a tribulation he had gone through his life that only an spiritual recrudescence would have lifted from the morass of despair and suffering. But it's a process that every artist worth his/her salt undergone through an apotheosis one ... one that if you're of the sissyish type would have easily surrendered to the whims and caprices of the moment ... er, the dying world that should have not resurrected were it not for the undying faith of the master artist like Johnny Esj Otilano... Not to leave the Earth if it were not to recover from the devilish inclination of mankind. Let it be said that when he and other artists like him didn't preserve the once beautiful Earth through the inspiration, perspiration and creative imagination, what have we, or where are we... the novice and the uninitiated been like. Or, what could it be the Earth if say, in utter destruction, be like... without the preservation of the artist's imagination of the original creation.
Johnny's masterful strokes of the three paintings had been the product of his soul-searching attitude and imagery that could only be found in his ability to think of the greater good of the nature as he has nurtured the original creation we call paradise. Let it be so then... that his award is blazed in glory.

Featured Artist of the Day

Johnny ESJ Otilano - Artist is a self-taught artist born in the Philippines, a country rich in culture and history. Johnny graduated from Feati University with a Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, major in Advertising Design. In 1989, Johnny made his first trip to the U.S. at the invitation of the Philippine Arts Festival in Los Angeles.

In 1997, Johnny was fortunate to be recognized after his painting "Market Place" won Second Place and received the highest winning bid in an art contest sponsored by KVPT Channel 18 for their 20th Great Annual Art Auction. In 2010, one of Johnny's paintings, entitled “November 25, 1994,” received the People’s Choice Award at the Pink Show 2010 and in 2011 his paintings "Autumn Leaves" received the Most Inspiring Entry Award & Peoples Choice Award and in 2013 his paintings "My Old Guitar" received The Peoples Choice Award & Margaret Hudson's Choice Award. In 2019, Johnny was awarded as one of the Top 60 Masters of Contemporary Arts held at the Museum of Arts & Design in New York City. In May of 2020 Johnny supposedly going to Florence Italy to receive an award and ti exhibit his paintings but the pandemic came.

Johnny have been known for his portrait commissions and landscape paintings. Johnny dreamed about becoming a soldier as a kid to help defend his country, but his interest changed when he started to dabble with art using the four walls of their home. With his artistic blood awakened, Johnny then channeled his energy and passion for his country through arts with a paintbrush filled with bold, striking colors.

Johnny's own style was developed with influences of masters and recent artists. The distinctive personal style and technique that he have incorporated in his pieces are spreading paint on raw plywood, gluing and nailing found objects like soda can pull tabs, old keys, metal chains and gun shells.

If Johnny gained recognition, it was for the ability to conjure great emotions and portray a story behind each of his creations. As a established international artist living in Los Angeles California, Johnny still carry that passion with dozens of artwork pieces conveying his style and insignia.

Johnny E.SJ. Otilano exhibited in many galleries here in the U.S. and museums abroad. In addition to the visual art, Johnny compose and write music that relate to his paintings and that are performed at his shows.

"It is my belief, as an artist and as a human, that we all exist here for a purpose. As an Artist, you have to explore a lot and experiment, and as time goes by you uncover your own self and discover where you stand. No matter what other people say: continue what you're doing, believe in yourself and be passionate in your art. Your art and what you express and everything that comes out of it is your soul, a God-given talent, a God-given soul". "If a pen is mightier that a sword, My brushes are more powerful than a bow and arrows." Johnny added.

Artist's Biography: Christopher Hartford

I am what is commonly termed a "self-taught" artist. And, I consider myself to be a pop surrealist and Gothic surrealist. In the past two years, I have been a part of 4 group shows, including 2 years in a row at the L.A. Artcore group exhibition/competition in Los Angeles, CA. Currently, I have been focused on small sketch works in ink. All my original works are for sale. In addition to art, I have been a long-time recording singer/songwriter who has had the pleasure of working with many acclaimed musicians in the recording industry. My goal or pursuit as an artist is to convey my thoughts and imagery in a way that is original and idiosyncratic, and which hopefully compels its audience to see the subject matter in a fresh, human, and even truthful light.
