♾️ If you've ever worked with us, you might ask yourself, "Wow these guys really have a good time doing what they do, I wonder why 🤔?" That's because we maintain a professional balance! How are you going to feel natural on camera if we're all stoic-like and moving like art snobs? Making sure someone can feel like they can be their natural selves on camera is part of how we're able to make every shoot and every video into unique works of art 📹

We're always having a vibe on set, and we're grinning not just because we have great smiles (yes I'm biased), it's because we literally get to do what we dreamed about doing for a living 💯

Actually... confession time... One of the requirements to join the team at 88 is that you need to have an incredibly handsome, warm, and contagious smile 😁🎬 It's in in the fine print if you look closely 🤓 Totally serious btw!

Woke up feeling reflective today! We've been making massive moves recently, moves so big you lowkey wouldn't believe us if we told you right now! But that's okay, because the finished product will speak for itself when the time comes ♾️

Honestly... it's a blessing to get to do what we want to do, craft narratives we want to craft, and put out the work that needs to be put out in this world - But our success wasn't just a blessing from the Heavens above. So, so many unseen hours went into creating a situation for ourselves in which our work *blessed* us 🎬

Are you willing to struggle? Are you willing to take risks? To do things people won't buy into at first? Can you push through trials & tribulations to achieve your vision?

Yesterday, in conjunction with our wonderful partners at Hood College, we had the honor of showcasing something that’s very near and dear to our hearts, our new video: “Frederick’s Untold Stories: Phoenix Recovery Academy”

When you see the impact of the incredible, life-saving work that Phoenix Recovery Academy and its unbelievably diligent and kind-hearted staff perform each and every day, you’ll feel humbled.

Supporting teens throughout addiction is crucial not just because it’s the right thing to do, but because it also embodies our belief in the inherent potential for change and recovery within everyone! When we offer compassion, understanding, and encouragement, we help create an environment where hope and healing can flourish and thrive!

The ONLY recovery high school in Maryland is located right here in Frederick, and it’s up to our community to normalize this level of care, and make sure we’re always paying it forward and treating each other with the empathy necessary to row this boat together 💪🏾 💯 Because it takes a village!

2 years ago our Executive Director, Danica Warden , collaborated with 88Visual to help film a kids yoga video series for Frederick County Government, MD . This Thursday is the video series launch and we are so excited to see the final result of everyone's efforts! Come join us and help celebrate together!

We learned how to hone our minds and bodies through the art of pilates with the wonderful Tanya Amelia Rockovich, owner of The TONED Studio in Urbana. We quickly found out that learning the ins and outs of pilates can be a humbling experience, but Tanya is a motivating and patient instructor, and she helped expertly guide us through each and every step. It’s a blessing to put into words the impact our mission has on the students and families and all the celebrations we get to share with them as well! Lots of passion, laughter, and a few tears were shed! We can’t wait to see it all come together!

Gary Rollins's journey exemplifies a powerful intersection of community need, personal passion, and a commitment to innovation. His recognition of the absence of a funeral home primarily serving African Americans in Frederick led him to embark on a mission to fill that gap. Despite the challenges and obstacles he faced, including years of military service and the need to save money for equipment, Rollins persisted in his endeavor.

Starting out in borrowed space at Asbury United Methodist Church, Rollins gradually expanded his operations, eventually establishing the Gary L. Rollins Funeral Home and later transitioning to the modern and purpose-built Life Celebration Center. His vision went beyond traditional funeral services; he aimed to create redemptive and uplifting experiences for grieving families, a refreshing approach in the industry.

Moreover, Rollins's collaboration with his wife, Dr. Denise Hall Brown Rollins, to offer grief counseling and support through the Whole Heart Grief & Life Resource Center underscores their commitment to holistic care for their clients. By extending support beyond the funeral service, they provide a space for healing that transcends the conventional role of a funeral home.

Rollins's deep roots in Frederick, combined with his mother's example of community service, further drive his dedication to honoring the past while embracing positive change. The Life Celebration Center not only serves as a testament to Rollins's entrepreneurial spirit but also as a hub for preserving local history and supporting the community's emotional well-being. We caught a glimpse in the 88 Visual lens.
