Thelma Louise Hart Fisher was born to the late Thomas Hart and Ozzie Mae Brumfield Hart on May 26, 1944. She was the second of seven children. She was married to the late Johnny Fisher and to this union two children were born. She was a graduate of Washington Parish High in the class of 1961.

Mayor Sharp called the meeting to order which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance and invocation. Once again, we had a warm fall to the point that my winter garden remained stunted until the last couple of weeks when the night temperatures kickstarted my cabbage and greens only to be gut punched by a harsh winter storm to sweep down and cover our land in a snowy layer of ice, snow, and sleet.

Preparing for snow and ice in South Louisiana is definitely an experience. I would prefer to be cold over hot, but icy weather is a whole other thing. I hope you all were able to cover up pipes, plants, and all the important things and stay warm.
