It’s been a crazy journey over the last 7 years since and I got married and moved to Nashville. (And the 5 years before that when God began to knit our hearts together as we led worship and grew together). We’ve had ups and downs, served in tons of different places, and started our own business. We bought a camper and decided to prioritize adventuring together. We even thought God was done with our time in Nashville and moved away once.. but we knew He had something here for us and we had to move back. We didn’t even know for what… A year later, here we sit in a place we get to steward as the new Worship Pastors at Unite Church in East Nashville. It’s only the beginning, but we’re so excited about what’s to come, and the vision and dreams we’ve had for so many years that we believe will come to life in the seasons ahead 🙏. Thankful to be serving in this way with my best friend and love (and the best and most talented leader I know)!

For a long time, we didn’t think you could have both.. But let me encourage you, whether you’re chasing a dream, a career, or doing ministry (or all of those intertwined), you can still live out every moment true to who you are. You can enjoy life and focus on family in the midst of everything you’re building. Don’t get so caught up in what you’re doing that you don’t prioritize what you want for your own life and family. For us this past season, we’ve learned it’s ok to get away and that we can truly have both the “Nashville life” and the life of experiencing new places and adventures. It’s only the beginning of so many blessings on both sides of life for us!

Tracked #electricguitar today for a Playback Media video worship track. It took me a few, err, I should say several, err, several dozen punch-ins. Not an electric player but I have fun playing it once in a while :). Thanks to my wife for listening to me bomb the lead parts many times. @jennagracemay Also my Simplifier amp is on loan so this is the UAD Marshall plugin.
