To change our habits around debt, we have to start by changing our thinking.

Debt actually moves you backward in your financial life, enabling you to spend more than you make.

You can’t earn your way out of debt unless you decide that debt is something you want to eliminate from your life once and for all.

We call these budget categories the “Four Walls.”

Focus on taking care of these FIRST, and in this specific order... especially if you’re going through a tough financial season.

If you have money left over after this, prioritize the rest of your expenses after those first four are taken care of.

Cover utilities before you pay your rent or mortgage. This is because in most cases, your lights or water risk being shut off before you’d be evicted or foreclosed on.

During a tough time, you’ve got to prioritize your expenses. Don’t ever pay a debt before you buy food. Pause paying extra on debts and save money while you weather the financial storm. Once your income stabilizes, you can resume working the 7 Baby Steps.

Always remember that there’s a light at the end of the tunnel, and you DO have what it takes to get to the other side of whatever situation you’re facing.👏

We recently had our yearly awards ceremony for our INCREDIBLE leadership team!

Our company would not be where it is today without them, so we always make sure to set aside time to encourage and reward them for the hard work they put in all year long!

Plus, we threw in FREE food, drinks, and merch to make it even more fun!🥳

Our 10th Annual Ramsey Spelling Bee was all the BUZZ!🐝 Having fun with the people you work with is one of the BEST ways to build team culture, so this event is one of our favorites!🙌 Seven of our team members spelled some of the most challenging words out there for a chance to win $250 and free lunch for their entire team!🥳 Congrats to “Las Abejas Asesinas” aka “Killer Bees” for winning this year’s competition!👏

We don't just work together. We worship together.🙌 We're always grateful there are so many talented people on our team that have helped create such a welcoming space to build community and praise God with one another. We're here to serve the people outside our walls by providing them biblically based, commonsense education and empowerment that give HOPE to everyone in every walk of life. We exist for the people outside our walls. At Ramsey, we strive to bring hope to others and be a light in the darkness by serving our community!💡 Last week, our team members and their families partnered with a local nonprofit called The Bridge to help put together 4,800 bags of food, so kids battling food insecurity in the Nashville area have meals to eat on evenings and weekends!🍽️

Cheers to good times, great teammates, & tricky trivia questions!🥂🥳 Last night was our team’s annual trivia night where we went to head to head to win gift cards to the BEST restaurants in Nashville!🙌 We’re so grateful our live events team always goes above and beyond to make sure we feel celebrated!🎉 What trivia category do you DOMINATE at?👇

We have MAD fun at Ramsey!👔👠🎉 Our team created a Mad Men themed happy hour that entailed signature cocktails, a poker tournament, a costume contest, and time for our creatives and marketers to hang out together, and get to know each other better! The matrixes united & we had the BEST time!🥂🥳

Someone's life will change because you came to work today.🙌 That's on the sign that our team members get to see as they walk out of our building every day because the people we're serving ALWAYS come first. Marketplace service means that if we help enough people, we don't have to worry about money. It will be a natural result of how well we're serving and impacting people.
