Friendly Fix From KNS Radio

Do you know a widow, elderly person, busy single mom or maybe just someone a little down on their luck? How would you like to make their day or maybe be that little bit of inspiration that is just the good deed they need to improve their quality of life?

Disinger Handyman and Landscaping and KNS Radio have teamed up to give away 4-6 hours of work to someone YOU choose! Brett wants to give back to the community and he’s taking KNS along for the ride. This includes a little light handyman work, landscaping or painting….or maybe a little help just cleaning up!

It’s easy to nominate someone or yourself in Friendly Fix! Just email or hit up Kevin or Brett on Facebook messenger. Make sure you include the persons name, address and the work they need done. We will draw for a winner on Morning Sickness With Kevin And Steve just after 8 am on Friday May 3rd. From Disingers Handyman and Landscaping and the station helping give back to the community….KNS Radio.

KNS Radio is proud to welcome ANOTHER local business to the KNS family--Granny's Goodies

For those who know Granny and her crew, you already KNOW but for those of you who maybe haven't made the drive to Mulberry yet or had time to stop by, check it out! I've only heard the legendary stories about the biscuits and gravy. I'll be finding out soon. I will give you a full report. I once ate my weight in gravy in the great "biscuits and gravy cook off" of 1998 in Southern Indiana. Granny says hers is better. With her confidence, I'm gonna believe her. But go check it out just to make sure!

HAHAHAHAHA

Seriously, thank you for being a part of KNS Radio!

(Frankfort) Form Blows Out, Pours Concrete Into Basement Of New County Annex

Some of you may have noticed a hole in the northwest corner of the new Clinton County Annex being constructed on the Frankfort Square. Crews from Envoy are currently removing that back section due to an unfortunate incident recently. Clinton County Commissioner Josh Uitts tells KNS News on Friday March 29th, the group made the final pour to complete the basement walls and foundation. Uitts says one of the forms blew out while the concrete was still wet pouring concrete into the basement. This resulted in the all being incomplete and thus causing the hole in that corner. Crews will be removing the section in its entirety and will re-pour the concrete.

KNS Radio Exclusive:

Rossville 4/9/24 8:19 pm-- The Rossville Community School Board has placed Rossville High School principal Terry Thompson on administrative leave essentially ensuring he will not be allowed to come back into the school or discuss the situation with parents. This goes back to a series of events that lead to his administrative leave last year spearheaded by Dr. Jim Hanna, Superintendent of Rossville Community Schools. At that time, Thompson was allowed to come back but under the condition he signed a letter agreeing to resign at the end of this school year. Rossville board policy states any action on administrative leave has to be voted on at the next board meeting however, this is the 5th meeting the board has held since Mr. Thompson signed the document.

Mr. Thompson's forced resignation was accepted at Tuesday nights board meeting, with administrative leave effective immediately. President Joe Hufford did this despite over 250 signatures asking to keep him, which represents more than two-thirds of the families in the middle/senior high school as he believes this issue has divided the community. A service will be contracted for admin in the building as there is currently no vice principal.

Those two-thirds of parents are very upset as administrative leave means he is banned from the property, including graduation. Many parents and students are upset because that means Thompson will not be allowed to see students graduate that he has been with for nearly 6 years.
