Windy day in store for us and a heightened fire risk. Wind Advisory in place from 9AM-6PM and a Fire Weather Watch from Noon to 6PM.

Southwest Winds will increase to 25-30 sustained and gusts up to 45.

Milder temps pretty much the whole week. So far Thursday looks like the first taste of Spring, even if it's just one day!

Messy morning in store for us. City salt/plow has already been by the studio. Go slow, leave early and assume th other "guy" is driving like he's from Atlanta and never driven in any snow. Stay safe and warm...hopefully it all melts off this afternoon.

Snow, heavy at times, will quickly overspread the Chicago Metro area, from north to south this morning. Snow will be accompanied by wind gusts of 30-40 mph & accumulate at rates of 1”+ per hour during the heaviest bursts. Travel conditions will quickly deteriorate this morning.

We knew it wouldn't hold off forever...first snow inbound for Wednesday into Thursday...plan accordingly!

After a brief period of showers early Wednesday morning, scattered to numerous rain/snow showers develop late afternoon through the evening. Widespread wet snow is then possible Thursday morning and could result in minor slushy accumulations on grassy surfaces before switching back to rain by the afternoon.
