Holly’s Story behind the company

Holly Shooter, president of Shooter’s Marketing & Consulting L.L.C, received her bachelor's degree from Cleary University in Howell, Michigan in Business Administration, class of 2003. Through specialized courses, class projects and externships, Holly’s passion for marketing and consulting began to blossom.

During Holly’s undergraduate career, she had to complete many projects that focused on marketing strategies. An example of one, was creating a marketing strategy for a local company to promote their liquor sales. The company was struggling to promote their liquor sales and reached out for free work from college students. It was this project that made Holly aware of the need for a local marketing business, that were willing to work within a budget. In addition, Holly knew as a mom that it would be a priority for her to be engaged and active in her community and children’s lives. Holly wanted to set her own hours and having that ability is what sparked the idea to start her own company.

During Holly’s last year in college, an externship with a non-profit organization was required for graduation. The externship required that Holly provide marketing and business knowledge and services to the nonprofit. Holly reached out to the Howell Elks Lodge #2168, which she was closely partnered with, personally, for a chance to assist in promoting their engagement with the community, and not only lodge members. As the secretary of the Howell Elks Lodge #2168 , Holly created events and promoted events such as the Hoop Shoot and Soccer shoot, that targeted local youth in expressing and competing for awards within the state of Michigan. These events found great success with Holly’s marketing strategies and experience. This externship lead to a greater career opportunity for Holly, where she spent many years promoting and supporting the Howell Elks Lodge #2168.

In 2008, Holly decided that it was time to venture on her own and create Shooters Marketing and Consulting L.L.C. Holly felt that many more businesses could benefit from her expertise in marketing and consulting, as well as her ability to work within a budget. It was important to support her community and help promote local businesses
