🦌 Meet Burrow, a year-long pursuit finally came to fruition! Last year, we stumbled upon this majestic buck and named him after Bias's favorite team's QB. Missing the opening day of rifle season, reminiscent of past memories with Josh Bias, made this hunt special.

As dawn broke, Burrow sauntered by, a fleeting encounter leaving me hopeful for more. Despite his departure, a calm certainty lingered—a premonition that our paths would cross again.

And they did. Just after 1:00 pm, the rustling leaves signaled his return. With bow in hand, heart racing, I steadied my aim. The shot rang true, hitting behind the shoulder, sealing our story.

Huge thanks to Grant for the invaluable support during the recovery. This isn't just about the harvest, but the journey, the memories, and the bond with the wilderness. Yesterday evening was special as I was able to connect on a great SoWV buck myself (Grant), Josh Berry & Josh Bias have some history with… I grunted this buck off a doe he was tending for a 35 yard shot… with record temps and 20mph wind gusts, I can’t help but think my old buddy Josh Bias was smiling down on me… to the guy that taught me how to read topo maps, run Spartan Camera ‘s , and make mock scrapes with Raw Frozen Scents this one is for you pal… there won’t be a time I’m in these mountains & and I’ll not think of the memories we made…
