Finished up my previous client and ready to do some more videos. If you got any reel-to-reel, camcorder, audio cassette or VHS videos that you'd like to digitize before the tape gets too old, now's the time.

Converting my favorite type of media right now. I'm in this for the history so I love the old 8 mm and super 8 reels. VHS is fun too but I really enjoy seeing what the previous generation found important enough to video.

Just had the opportunity to "fix" a family video for a client. The volume was too low so when I captured it, I boosted it 150%. A very wise person once said "If you got a problem, yo I'll solve it". Let me know what I can do for you!

I can't believe even the theoretical max lifespan of VHS (30 years) would be videos taken in 1994!

Hardware update:

My newest addition can do hi-8 / video 8.

So I can add that to the list of what I can support without requiring hardware from my customers.

Current hardware support: Hi-8, video 8, vhs-c (little cassettes), VHS, reel to reel 8mm and super 8mm, audio cassettes.

And of course as always, if you have something that will play your video and I can borrow it, I can digitize it.

Hardware: I have devices for hi8, VHS, vhs-c, reel to reel and audio cassettes. As far as anything else.. if you have a device I can borrow that can play your media I can digitize it.

I'm a computer guy for a living so I can return them however you want. Dropbox, Google drive, your USB drive, borrow one of mine and return it empty or pay five bucks and keep it. I could probably even set up a download from my home server.

I'm afraid I've found a new addiction. It seems I get the same satisfaction from protecting and rescuing the memories of others that I got when digitizing my own.

After making a small post on the neighborhood page, I realized two things. 1. I truly enjoy history and love being able to save it from being lost. 2. People have a huge need for this at a reasonable price and without mailing their precious memories away.

I've had such a big response, I decided to create this page to help me organize the chats and organize drop offs and pickups.

- Reel to reel - $10 per reel
- Audio Cassette - $5 each
- Any other media - if you have something to play it, I can do it - $10 each

- Your files on dropbox\google drive\email\download\etc - free
- Your files on a USB Drive to return to me - free
- Your files on a USB Drive to keep - $5 - $10 depending on the size per USB drive

Anyone have any home movies on VHS 📼 or reel to reel 🎥, vhs-c, hi-8 or digital 8 they need captured to digital for safe keeping or sharing? What about a loved one's voice on cassettes you won't play for fear of breaking the tape?

I got these digitizing devices when I lost my mom last year. The online services were roughly $15 per movie and I had stacks of tapes! Plus I didn't want to mail 😳 them in Texas June weather. Now that I'm done and have the hardware, I thought I'd share my hobby with my neighbors by offering to do $10 a movie and $5 per cassette/reel.

It is important to me to get those memories digital and safely off the brittle media while we can. Some of those voices are priceless.
