Making some new draping gowns for Fundacion Aitana. The ones I made a few years back are looking a little tired after being washed so much. These are for the parents to wear over their clothes when they come visit their children in the chemo ward. They like having something fun looking for them besides the boring old blue scrub ones. ❤️.

Whew! Time got away from me & I almost ran out of time to make something for the Society of Professional Journalists annual charity raffle. I make them a little something every year, but it was a crazy November & I nearly forgot! I managed to knock this out in one very long day, start to finish!

Its a 60" x 60" couch throw made with items from my stash, backed with high quality fleece. They always lament that there isn't anything for men in these events so this should be quite popular! Fingers crossed that it raises a lot for their charity projects!

My latest creation! One of my now adult Girl Scouts had a baby & of course I had to make her a quilt! Made with nursery print 100% cotton fabric & backed with high quality fleece. Now off to wash & deliver 😊

Made this memorial quilt for one of my Girl Scouts. This is made from her Granny's clothes. Her Papa died just a few months later so I put his information on the back too. ❤️

So, I bought this blouse online & when it arrived, it was basically a belly shirt. 😒 I'm a gal of a certain age & size & I don't care if that's the style now, I'm not going out in public with my gut out. So I went to Joann's & got 2 yards of this wide lace to attach to the bottom & voila!

Speaking of growing up too fast, my oldest God child is almost 28 & expecting his first baby. 😢 They have a baby animal theme to the nursery so I made this little quilt with the help of my little artist daughter. I asked her to draw me a simple elephant I could trace onto fabric to make an applique & this is what she drew. She's amazing. ❤️

My Girl Scouts are growing up fast! Three of them graduate high school this year. Weren't they in kindergarten last week? 😥

Well, every year at bridging, I make them something special, usually with their name on it. One of the moms suggested a throw blanket, so I picked up these sherpa blankets on Amazon & made these Girl scout applique embroidered with their names & troop numbers. Now, off to print certificates. ❤️

This is a first: I ran out of applique interfacing! I'm beside myself, but it's true! 🤣 I've looked everywhere & there's none to be had! Off to the fabric store I go!

My client has a son getting married next weekend & in addition to altering one of the bride's maid dresses for her daughter, she had a very special ask: she wanted me to make a pocket square for her son & husband using her very elaborate, & I'm sure very expensive wedding dress from 30 years ago. I was a little nervous about cutting up the dress, especially since she had it professionally boxed up, so I gave one last chance to back out this morning before starting. 🤣 I was given the go-ahead so started cutting!

I cut 2 12" squares out of the satin & hemmed it. Then, embroidered her & the son's wedding dates, along with their family name in the center.

I had to very carefully seam rip the beaded lace off the bottom edge of the dress, then reapplied it by hand to the bottom edge of the pocket square. Now, they're ready to deliver!

Every time I see one of these sweet babies wearing one of the port shirts I made, I send healing vibes their way.

One of my Girl Scout Ambassadors is working on more of these shirts to be delivered to Fundacion Aitana this summer. Using abilities to do the most good & spread the most love. ❤️

Made this tshirt quilt for the principal of the school my son attended eleven years ago. I have an axe to grind with this person, but I made this quilt with care, even after realizing it wasn't for the person I thought it was for. It's a hot mess of angry feelings, but as the Good Book says in Matthew 6:12 - Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us."

Eleven years is a long time to grind an axe, & making this quilt was a step toward finally letting it go.

Just finished repairing this antique quilt for a customer. It was a tattered mess, but after much patching & hand-closing of holes, it's ready to deliver. 😊

Just finished this little couch throw. It was a UFO I started for a sample sale I was invited to attend but ran out of hours to finish it. I took it anyway & offered to finish & deliver it if it was sold, which it was, so I'll deliver it today. 😊

It measures 52" x 50" & is made with a cotton panel & cotton prints, backed with high quality muslin & high loft polyester batting.
