My very dear friend left town to clear her head for a few days and in that time, her cat got out of where he was staying with her friends. Salem, the cat, sustained injuries during the time he was loose. He has several open wounds, injured paws, and is clearly in pain from it all. I'm trying to help my friend, Cassandra, raise some money for vet bills. 😔

This cat is not just a cat. Salem is part human, and the best friend and companion to my Cassandra.

"Anthophile"

I have been working on this piece for idek how long now 🙈 it's moved back and forth, her shading has gone from very vague to intense, to adding in blues to compliment the background. The color choices specifically reflect orange and blue, I'm obsessed with that combination.

The leaves are actually my boyfriends ZZ plant, her name is Honey 😊 the florals are reference photos from different flower pages I follow! Thats usually how these pieces begin ✨️

There's so much inspo all around me and I love love getting to incorporate it whenever I can!

A little less than two weeks out from the album release party, and I'd like to encourage y'all to get your tickets and come celebrate with us May 31, Friday night next week, at Southside Preservation Hall's Rose Chapel!

Some of y'all might have noticed I haven't done a single Keegan McInroe & Band show this year, so far. Just kind of the way it's worked out, but I've been missing it...so super excited about this show.

And as of right now, this is the ONLY booked Keegan McInroe & Band show in Fort Worth of the whole year...so if you want to see me with a band playing my material in Funky Town in 2024, this is looking like it might be your only chance.

And what a band I've put together for the occasion!

With Clint Kirby on drums, Aden Bubeck on bass, Gary Grammer on harmonica, Morris Holdahl on guitar, and Drew Harakal on keys, we'll play the album front to back for the first set, and then the second set will be all original music from albums past and future...yes, the next, next album is already written, and I'll be playing some of those songs in set two, as well!

Oh, AND, the great Garrett Owen is opening the show!

Plus, we'll have Mama Lu's Kitchen feeding everyone and a cash bar going, and the Rose Chapel is such a lovely space.

It's gonna be a really great night, and it'd mean a whole lot to see you there, helping me welcome my seventh album into the world!

5pm – NIGHT MARKET + MACABRE ALLEY (TWO ROOMS OF VENDORS)

7pm – VINTAGE VIDEO PRESHOW

8pm – SECRET MOVIE SCREENING (GENRE: POST-APOCALYPTIC ACTION)

On the first Wednesday of every month, The Movie Mutant takes over Southside Preservation Hall in Fort Worth for a night of movies, art, collectors, and more. There's free parking, food on-site, and it's BYOB.

The Night Market starts at 5pm and there are two rooms featuring over 40 local artists, collectors, and more. Macabre Alley is a specially curated room of vendors that specialize in oddities, mysticism, cryptids, and horror.

At 7pm, the Vintage Video Preshow starts in the chapel. There you'll see a collection of trailers, shorts, and blasts from the past. It's all connected with the theme of the secret movie for the night. At 8pm The Movie Mutant introduces the secret movie. Each secret film is handpicked for a truly memorable audience experience. The genre changes every month and hints are dropped via social media to keep everyone guessing.

This month's genre is POST-APOCALYPTIC ACTION and is rated R for profanity, nudity, and violence.

To get in, Southside Preservation Hall is asking for "pay what you can" donations at the door. All donations go toward the preservation and upkeep of the historic building.

Southside Preservation Hall and Southside Preservation Association are supported in part by a grant from Arts Fort Worth.
