We had a great time vending at The Rabbit Hole Pub today. The weather was GORGEOUS, there was an amazing waitress checking on the vendors, and a very nice gentleman that helped me up when I tripped and landed on my knee.

Due to, yet another, injury I canceled on plans with an awesome friend to go hit up some estate sales in order to ice and relax my knee.

Well, things did not go as planned.

When I woke up I realized that there was some fresh produce I purchased to make jam.

Silly me thought 'I'll just whip up a quick batch of jam and relax the rest of the day'.

Yeah, that quick batch of jam took me almost 4 hours and now my knee is swollen, again, and ridiculously stiff.

On a much brighter side meet the newest member of the gang, Fred Jones. He is a part of our upcoming Jinkies pack.

Made from Buddah's Hand, Pomegranate seeds, and Ginger. The best description of its flavor is a sweet grapefruit.

I've included pics of the Buddah's Hand during the initial cutting process.

For those that dare taste it (which I highly recommend), I hope you enjoy its unique flavor!!!

The Barket at Cicada yesterday was great. Not only did we have a blast but Highway Hounds came out and two of their puppers got new homes!!! We also got to have one of their adoptable puppers create her own masterpiece at our Painting With Puppers station!!!! She is truly talented!

Velma: Peach Mango Ghost Pepper

Shaggy: will be a huge mix of fabulous flavors

Applepear Cinnamon is currently on my island canning itself up nice and purty-like.

On the stove is my midi beautiful jam Habanero. This one will most likely not be canned tonight. Seems I have bursitis in my hip so I won't be able to have those long jamming sessions for awhile. Seems standing, lifting, sitting, twisting, driving or whatevering causes me some pain. Standing and lifting causes me the most pain though.

But we will get through this!!!

We're gearing up over here getting ready for Saturday!!! I have a batch of Guava done as well as THE Prickly Pineapple. There's batch of Scooby in the fridge just waiting to be canned. Next on the list (by request) Applepear Cinnamon. I've got some new spices ready for purchase and I'm hoping to get some dog bandanas completed for Saturday as well!!!

Met these two beauties at our event today!!! Both are gorgeous and sweet. The one with the solid white nose is Gloria and the other is Sierra and both are in need of a furever home!! They are at the South FW Animal Control off of 287 by Village Creek.

I know they are both gorgeous, sweet, and they love their pup cups (especially Sierra)!!!

They are both up at Martin House right now if you HAVE to meet them (which I highly recommend).

This weekend!!!!!

The other night I ordered 8 pounds of jalepenos from Fiesta. When I received my order I got 1.67 pounds of serranos. Most people would have mentioned it and got it fixed. Instead, I took it as a sign that I needed to make something new. Now we've done jalepeno salt in the past and it was popular. We also had a hatch chili sugar seasoning. That too was rather well received. Now, I'm dehydrating the serranos to make a new seasoning. I found an recipe that I'm going to tweak and see if we can come up with a new one. Stay tuned for the results!!!!
