June 20, 1981: Stars On 45 take over the top spot on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 with the ‘Stars on 45 Medley’ (nickname for the song, full/official song title on the chart below). It spends one week at #1. The medley briefly interrupted Kim Carnes’ run at #1. Bette Davis Eyes had been #1 for five consecutive weeks, it would drop to #2 for a week then return to #1 for four more weeks!
