Mother's Day plant sale: McMillen Park Community Center, 3901 Abbott St., Fort Wayne. 1-7 p.m. Continues Saturday and Sunday. Just in time for spring planting, the Botanical Conservatory offers over 700 varieties of plants. Shop masses of locally grown herbs, vegetable starts, flowering perennials and native plants joining a host of annuals, mixed containers, hanging baskets, houseplants, bonsai and a variety of seeds. Essentials such as potting soil and compost worms are also available. Knowledgeable plant advisers are ready to answer questions and offer suggestions. This annual fundraiser supports Fort Wayne’s very own Botanical Conservatory.

Fridays in May concert: Trinity English Lutheran Church, 450 W. Washington Blvd., Fort Wayne; in Krauss Chapel. 12:10-12:40 p.m. Today's theme is "Show Tunes!" featuring Natalie Young, soprano; and Jonathan Young, piano. A $2 lunch will be served in Wagenhal's Hall immediately after the program.
Spring hike with ASL interpretation: Metea County Park, 8401 Union Chapel Road, Fort Wayne. 2-3 p.m. $2. Register by May 10. Join Park and Education Manager Bob Dispenza and ASL Interpreter Garth Sponseller to walk the trails looking for spring wildflowers and signs of local wildlife. All are welcome.
