How does laser hair removal work?

Laser hair removal works by using concentrated light to affect hair follicles, which are small cavities in the skin from which hair grows. The hair follicle absorbs the laser, which is attracted to the hair’s melanin pigment, and the hair vaporizes instantly.

The pigment in the hair attracts the laser, so darker hair absorbs the laser more effectively, which is why people with dark hair and light skin are ideal candidates for laser hair removal.

You can expect to see a reduction in the number of hairs in the treated area immediately after the procedure. Two to eight weeks after laser hair removal, you may begin to notice an increase in hair growth in the treated area. The reason for this is that not all hair follicles respond equally to the laser. Most patients see a 10 to 25 percent reduction in hair after the first treatment! 🤩🥳

Touch Up Thursday!
Here’s what to expect with Microblading! 🤩
Day 1: Your brows will look detailed, and some redness may occur.
Day 2-3: Normally, you will not see too much change in this period. You may experience some redness.
Day 4: Color will become darker.
Day 5-6: Don’t panic during this stage! This is when thin flaking of the skin starts to appear. It is not recommended to peel it as it affects the healing process. The color may become weak, this is still part of the healing period.
Day 7-10: A light layer of skin may start to flake off and you will see some patchiness. This is normal, DO NOT pick it. Let it naturally fall off on its own.
Day 11-14: Flaking will be completely gone, and the color will be lighter.

After 2 weeks you will see the true color of your new brows 🥳
