If we have talked before and you don’t hear from us by the end of this week, please reach out. Or if you are just now seeing this for the first time, there is still time to be included!

In case you didn’t see Paul Caporino ‘s Facebook post last week, we are organizing a tribute compilation to the legendary M.O.T.O.

The idea for this came from my friend and fellow organizer of the band

Next month on Tuesday, April 2nd
we have experimental artist and composer (Rachel Icenogle) swinging into the Brass Rail in support of her first full length album, “Bat Hat”, out now via for which she is currently on tour.

Sbowe is the solo project of Rachel Icenogle, a versatile cellist and composer based in Calabria, Italy with a mind for new and interesting sounds. Sbowe thrives in the scratchy, creaky, whirly sounds the cello can make, layering diverse musical textures in a lush groundwork for wild fables about insects and impressionistic stories about human batteries.

About her EP Morimus (2022), Breaking & Entering Milwaukee wrote, “…the two tracks here create massive, textural, exquisite movements that feel poetic as they feel intentional. It’s like we’re observing both the gorgeous and tense moments of nature unfold in real time, punctuated by a variety of cello sounds.”

(Chicago) an ethereal baroque synthpop project featuring creator Hope Arthur will be on hand to start it off.

“Serepta presents a colorful and vibrant experience, often sporting avant-garde makeup looks and otherworldly outfits created by Serepta herself. Their music draws from influences such as Bjork, FKA Twigs, Kate Bush, Depeche Mode and Gakuto Kamui.”

The show will start at 8 pm, $7, 21+

Questo è un periodo storico sporco di retroattive visioni - di personalità di spicco che tutt'al più ti aiutano a farti passeggiare sul filo di un burrone del vuoto cosmico delle ospitate televisive.
Di gente che indossa la divisa della bontà ma che nasconde un epidermide vuota e maldestra - di artifizi paraculi.
La sottile linea che collega quella br**ta abitudine odierna alla conseguenza di una frustrazione atavica lega l’uomo moderno a quello arcaico come fonte di una stessa matassa agonizzante
La fondazione di un paradosso che sempre di più prende piede - sempre intrappolati dentro una labirintica sete di niente - rifiutiamo ogni giorno la violenta potenza di libertà.
In aeternum - bozzoli cacati dal consumismo e dall’orrore del vuoto.
La controcultura underground ha sempre modellato una propria avversione nei confronti del maleodorante vuoto cosmico edulcorato dal consumismo moderno ed in questo il circuito punk espulso dagli anni ottanta ha da sempre instillato vecchie e nuove generazioni a scatarrare sulla m***a indistinta sociale e politica.
Che, assieme ad un'urgenza comunicativa ha sempre mostrato che in questo contesto si può ancora fare la differenza.
20 𝑴𝒊𝒏𝒖𝒕𝒆𝒔 /𝑻𝒉𝒆 𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒔 𝒔𝒑𝒍𝒊𝒕 - pubblicato a gennaio scorso dall’etichetta Chain Smoking Records è l'incontro tra la realtà punk/rock di Indianapolis dei The Remote Controls e i volponi italiani di Domodossola punk’n’roll dei 20 Minutes capitanati da Giulio Zillo , a edificare una manata sonora diretta senza cenni di decadimento.
Una tavolozza di quattro tracce, due ciascuno che creano per 4 minuti un massivo ed urticante muro sonoro espletato senza tante stronzate e giri di parole da Accademia delle cazzate.
Ritmi serrati ed un epidermide sonora punk’n’roll rappresentano il manto sonoro dei 20 Minutes che con 𝑻𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆 e 𝑹𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 mostrano e spezzano il selciato che fino a qui li ha condotti, questi due brani incisivi e furiosi presentano un bilanciato tra riffoni furiosi che edificano una matassa punk and roll che si imbeve di una batteria piena e violenta (𝑻𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒏𝒔𝒆𝒏𝒔𝒆) mentre
𝑹𝒊𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒅 propone 25 secondi di pura energia massiva composta di ritmi serrati ed acide evoluzioni guidate da una massa vocale tensiva e tagliente.
Il lato dei The Remote Controls, realtà nativa di Indianapolis, si era già fatta notare grazie al debutto omonimo del 2022 - di comune visione attitudinale ai 20 minutes hanno la stessa verve compositiva di sfondamento espressivo oltre che una gestione compositiva che si racconta tra le file del punk rock degli anni 80, vibrante e colorato ed usano i minuti a disposizione per esprimersi, senza edulcorare nessuna smielata scrittura.
Stilettate di energici ritmi si trascinano dentro una scarica di riff corposi ed decisi (𝑺𝒉𝒊𝒕 𝑶𝒖𝒕𝒕𝒂 𝑳𝒖𝒄𝒌) che respirano una coralità vocale ed un tappeto sonoro da calcio in faccia.
This is punk rock nella sua accezione scomposta.
𝑹𝒆𝒎𝒐𝒕𝒆 𝑪𝒐𝒏𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒍𝒔 Il brano che chiude lo split, in un minuto e quaranta si congela dentro una batteria scalpitante e riff incisivi, una colata di punk rock che si avvolge di impulsi corali e diretti.
In questo ambiente la necessità di urlare e di creare qualcosa che può rimanere nel tempo viaggia sempre e comunque alla necessità di esprimere se stesso senza riserve.
La controcultura vive dell'eterno scambio tra realtà diverse e questo split ne è il risultato.
Quattro minuti di pura attitudine e libera espressione - i Descendents incontrano i Circle Jerks.

All In The Dark orders have shipped!

Thank you everyone for all of your orders. The first batch of records went out Saturday and all of the remaining orders shipped today.

Please tag us when you spin them!

For this project we wanted to try and complete the vision Joe had when he put this album out originally in 2004, with a book of his art accompanying the music.

It is supposed to look like a hard bound book overall with the gatefold acting as the cover.

All orders will include a die cut sticker featuring the Harley Poe logo design from the CD face artwork from the original 2004 release.

Brand new CD versions are on the way and will be available soon also.

I have very important people like, Craigy Needles from Needles Design hitting me up because they need a signed vinyl, rightfully so! Then, our great friend Kyle "untaggable" (So he doesn't get a shout out), has a very personal story about a Zanzabar pin that his friend gifted him before he passed away that was lost. There are so many scavenger hunts on this journey! Let's come together as a community and make it happen! Enough about that though, come enjoy something that is truly magical 🖤

On Saturday, September 9th Danny Attack comes to the The Brass Rail in support of the vinyl release of his album “Ghost”

Bullet Points from Indianapolis will be making their Fort Wayne debut and Thinning from Fort Wayne will be on hand to start things off.
