Chambers and Knox withdraw from race. Crandall, GiaQuinta and Tucker move on to Round 2. Each had time to appeal to voters again, with Tucker receiving a strong ovation for her vision of a safe city for children and plans to create a new council to focus on mental health. “Instead of incarcerating them, let’s get them the care that they need.”
GiaQuinta promoted his record and inclusivity for all.
Crandall said, "I just want to make sure that we really do have a place where every person in Fort Wayne knows that they belong here. Some other things we were working on was making sure this is a welcoming city. We wanted to be the first city in Indiana to be designated as a place where our immigrants and refugees know that they belong here."

Quoting Shirley Chisholm, a Black woman who ran for U.S. president, "I am, was, and always will be a catalyst of change," Chambers said, “Fort Wayne, I stand before you as that catalyst, a champion of progress, a voice for the unheard and a leader who will ensure no man, woman or child is left behind.”
