Each month George Blood LP reformats over 1,000 hours of video and audio content. Reformatting may be 1:1 preservation copies, or it may include conservation (recovering sound from failing or obsolete formats), and/or restoration (enhancing the sound, including improving intelligibility, removing noise, etc). We have significant experience in a wide range of historic, obsolete or damaged audio and video formats, and addressing collection-specific issues. Clients from around the country trust us with the preservation and reformatting of magnetic and film media. Projects which are in our studios for reformatting are kept in climate controlled and fire protected storage.

One last post from the A Century of 16mm conference: a Kemco HoMovie projector in action. This system took four images within the space of a typical 16mm frame in an attempt to make the footage go further. While inventive, the projector is very loud (sound on) and required customers to purhcase specific equipment (camera and projector).
