Happy Thursday Tideline Technology Okaloosa friends & clients! This week has been a wild one so far and I cannot believe it's the last full week in June.

My husband Brandon rushed a close family member to the Mayo Clinic six hours away to get a second opinion after they were recommended for open heart surgery. I've been chilling with the smallest Tideline squidies trying to avoid this crazy heat wave. This consists of Minecraft, popsicles and constantly losing one of the kids shoes.

Thanks all for being awesome, I haven't been able to sit down and knock out work for 6+ hours like I usually can. I'm at it right now so feel free to comment below or email me your requests! Hopefully the hubs will be home tomorrow and I'll finish everything up tomorrow afternoon!

Thank you everyone for 100 followers! Here is a photo from our family reunion this week (I'm in the red dress). My dad and mom are on the outside, all of us siblings in the middle.

Not only am I grateful for all of my supporters but I'm so grateful I was able to celebrate time with my incredible family this week. Our family hadn't been together in 16 years!

Remember to stop and smell the roses and live in moments that are precious. My dad was diagnosed with a grade 4 glioblastoma in December and we've done a lot of reflecting lately on our lives.

I'm sending you my best and always rooting for you... even if I'm on a boat at Crab Island.

11 years ago on an April morning, I launched my very first business Porcelynn & Peyton - Pretty Little Actions I had been overwhelmed with the desire to start my own business, be my own boss and build something entirely from my own head (and my business partner and friend, Stephanie!). We had absolutely 0 dollars to invest, young kids and I worked full time and had just secured my IT degree from the University of Montana.

I was not and still am not a great photographer, but I LOVED photography enough to be obsessed which lead to daily practice and much growth. I didn't know Photoshop.... I taught myself both photography and Photoshop by watching CreativeLive, various YouTube channels and blogs. While strenghtening my Photoshop skills, my friends and I discovered The Pioneer Woman - Ree Drummond had a guide on her blog for photographers that taught you how to make Photoshop Actions. Combined with my tech skills, my obsession for photography and the skills of my talented friend Stephanie, our business was born!

Essentially, Pretty Little Actions was the birth of me as an entrepreneur, as someone who was successful, as someone who could learn and adapt and create something magical out of absolutely nothing all without a dollar to my name. Overall, we didn't make big money, on a good month we cleared about $600; but the money wasn't the dream, the journey was. I learned so much and I am forever grateful to my beautiful friend, Stephanie and our incredible little business, though it remains, as it has been for years, suspended in time and non-operational.

If I had one bit of advice to give, it's to "just go for it." Living the life of your dreams is so much more fulfilling and satisfying than a job you make tons of money at but do not love.

I am so grateful to carry over my creative skills, my love for photography, my desire to build businesses and brands and to deliver that to all of you with my technical skills and love!

Thank you all for being here, trusting me with your websites, your logos, your social media marketing, your computers and your dreams. I am so happy to be part of your journey!

If you already have a customer's attention on Facebook, don't hit them with a redirect to an external site or application! It's best to interact with them while you have their attention and deliver outstanding customer service. Customers are 53% more likely to buy from a business that they can message. If they are able to seek answers to their questions right on your page without clicking to an external website or a Google search, you are more likely to retain that customer.

Playing with LOGOS and business branding! I figure they go hand-in-hand while building an eye catching website. Here are some rejected logos I built. I changed the business name for privacy purposes but obviously here on the coast, we have a lot of desire for nautical themed branding. I love it! Next I'll be working on a logo/branding for a friend in Montana with a natural earthy vibe that is minimalistic. So excited! Thank you all for entrusting me with your business, I'm honored! ❤️

A mermaid was almost our logo/mascot for Tideline Technology. I played with so many options. I spent about 13 hours rendering potential artwork for Tideline through prompt engineering in MidJourney ai. It's fascinating but it's honestly more difficult than just typing in an idea and generating something magical.

I loved the mermaids I rendered but in the end, I thought they were too girly and not "tech" enough. Our little octopus had a cute steampunk tech vibe going on and I thought he was a mascot more users would adore.

Learning ai has been a process but I'm looking forward to teaching others how to use ai and how ai technology might help improve your everyday tasks in your life or work. Please let me know if you'd like me to host an ai workshop at your business for your staff. [email protected]
