**NOISE ALERT**

The City of Fort Walton Beach issues a Noise Alert to residents of Fort Walton Beach and Okaloosa Island for the 68th Annual Billy Bowlegs Pirate Festival at The Fort Walton Beach Landing on Friday and Saturday, May 17 and May 18.

On Friday, May 17, there will be a mock sea battle between the Billy Bowlegs Pirate Krewe and soldiers from the 6th Ranger Training Battalion. Simulated gunfire and explosions will take place on Santa Rosa Sound between 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. as Captain Billy arrives at the Fort Walton Beach Landing. Additional loud noises can be expected from a fireworks show over Santa Rosa Sound that will start around 8:45 p.m. Friday night.

On Saturday, May 18, between 3:30 p.m. and 4 p.m., Captain Billy Bowlegs will announce his arrival with mock cannon fire as his ship passes beneath the Brooks Bridge in route to the Fort Walton Beach Landing.
