Red Dirt Friday Feature🤠🎤🎶

Jason Boland, a born and raised Oklahoma boy, is another popular name in the world of Red Dirt music. He and his band, The Stragglers, originated out of Stillwater, Oklahoma in the late 90s but are currently based out of Texas. Recently celebrating their 25-year milestone, Jason Boland & The Stragglers performed at the 2024 Texas Country Music Awards where Jason Boland was given the prestigious honor of the Trailblazer Award.

With previous hit albums such as “Comal County Blue,” “Squelch,” and “Rancho Alto,” there’s no doubt their newest album to be released this upcoming March, “The Last Kings of Babylon,” is likely to be one, too. This will be their 11th studio album and is meant to embody who they are as a band - from the very beginning, to now, to their future.

Are you a fan of Jason Boland & The Stragglers and want to see them live? Tune in to Red Dirt Radio 96.7 THE KAGE for your chance to attend the sold-out Boys From Oklahoma concert at Boone Pickens Stadium in the town where it all started.

Red Dirt Friday Feature🤠🎤🎶

The Great Divide, a music group said to have paved a stepping stone for Red Dirt music, originated out of Stillwater, Oklahoma in the early 90s. The band consists of members Mike McClure, Scott and J. J. Lester, Bryce Conway, and Kelley Green. After a short break before reuniting in 2012, The Great Divide jumped into touring and continued to make their name known.

With hit singles such as “Good Side,” “Infinite Line,” and “Set It All Down” earning #1 spots on Texas Country Radio, the music group has also earned the Texas Country Music Awards honors of Country Band of the Year in 2023, followed by Entertainer of the Year in 2024. We had the opportunity this past November to visit with them in studio and hear some of their hits.

Are you a fan of The Great Divide and want to see them live? Tune in to Red Dirt Radio 96.7 THE KAGE for your chance to attend the sold-out Boys From Oklahoma concert at Boone Pickens Stadium in the town where it all started.
