WHAT: USD 344 Strategic Plan 2nd Community Focus Forum Meeting

WHY: The strategic plan will be a roadmap for the USD 344 School District, creating a unified focus to guide our decisions, help set our future, and streamline in the same direction.

WHEN: Monday November 4th, 5:15 pm - 8:00 pm

WHERE: Pleasanton School Cafeteria

WHO: Anyone who is directly involved with or indirectly impacted by the school or the USD 344 education system. Parents, teachers, students, school staff, community members, local businesses are all stakeholders and we invite you to attend!

During this second session, the community focus groups will:

Review vision and data from the first session

Reflect on Theme Areas

Review and Discuss Actions = "What" and "WHY"

Develop Strategies for Action and Success

We had an exciting visit from U.S. Senator from Kansas, Jerry Moran. He took the time to stop by our classroom where we all discussed the importance of increasing the manufacturing workforce. It just so happened that a couple of our students were working on their ProjectMFG challenge and he was excited to hear about it! We also had time to discuss the wonderful things that The Gene Haas Foundation, Titans of CNC, and NASA HUNCH are doing to help high schools and colleges expose/teach machining concepts and get youth excited about the career opportunities.

It’s the meet that every runner in 4A aims for every season. It’s the KSHSAA 4A State Championship meet in Wamego. The girls team runs at 11:00 and Josh runs at 12:30.
