M/Y Amore Mio sunk after crashing against rocks in Acapulco, Mexico on New Year’s Day. The vessel was carrying 15 tourists that were celebrating the start of 2025 before strong currents pulled the boat towards the rocks, eventually throwing all 15 into the water. All 15 tourists were saved by nearby divers.

Five people were injured, three with traumatic injuries, when a boat exploded and caught on fire at Lauderdale Marina near 15th Street Fisheries restaurant tonight. Rescue workers are looking in the water for a possible sixth victim as well.
