RIP nolatexneeded

We tried our best to get it back but the hacker really screwed us over.

We still are unable to log in to reclaim.

It’s a bittersweet ending because we’re glad the hacker is stopped and cannot do anymore damage. However, we lost our account.

It’s been a week since we lost access to our nolatexneeded Instagram account.

Instagram has not done much to help in regaining access to the account.

As a reminder, please report the account and DO NOT engage the hacker. We would hate for any of you to get hacked. Based on the messages we received, they are claiming to be starting a band. We aren’t going to be releasing anything musically nor do we have plans to. We are and always will be a podcast talking about a range of topics.

Despite everything, we will continue to bring y’all content and use the nolatexneededpod account to keep y’all updated. We aren’t losing hope but worse case scenario we will disable the account (if it comes to that) so that the hacker doesn’t do any further damage.

Update:
I got an email this morning from Instagram support. They pretty much confirmed that two-factor authentication is still on the original nolatexneeded account and that I can take it off at any time.

Pretty much Instagram is being useless in this situation. 😓

For the time being using as the back up account and keeping everyone updated.

We are still working actively to gain back control and will update yall if and when we get our account back.

John Lennon was born. Lennon was a singer, songwriter, musician, and peace activist who gained worldwide fame as the founder, co-songwriter, co-lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist of the Beatles. From 1970 to 1980, Lennon embarked on a successful solo career alongside his wife Yoko Ono creating such hits as “Imagine” and “Give Peace a Chance”. On December 8, 1980, Lennon was shot and killed outside of his apartment in New York, he was 40 years old.

Eddie Guerrero was born. A prominent member of the Guerrero wrestling family, Eddie Guerrero is widely considered to be one of the greatest and most influential professional wrestlers of all time having wrestled all over the world from Mexico, Japan, and of course the United States having amazing matches with the likes of Dean Malenko, Chris Benoit, Chris Jericho, Kurt Angle, Rey Mysterio, Rob Van Dam, and more. Guerrero won championships in ECW, WCW, and the WWE where he achieved his greatest success when he won the WWE championship in 2004. Tragically, Eddie passed away on November 13, 2005 at the age of 38. Though Guerrero left this world over ten years ago, his fans still feel his Latino Heat and ensure that his legacy lives on. Happy Birthday Eddie Guerrero, VIVA LA RAZA!

We are saddened to learn that Bray Wyatt has passed away today. Wyatt was one of the most unique wrestlers of the 21st century whether he was the leader of the cult like Wyatt Family or acting as a demented Mr. Rogers or portraying the demonic Fiend. Whatever the character, you couldn’t help but be drawn like a moth to a flame whenever Wyatt was on your TV. We here at No Latex Needed send our condolences to Wyatt’s family.

Last night, WWE Hall of Famer Terry Funk passed away at the age of 79. Hailing from Amarillo, Texas, The Funker was well renowned by many around the world from fellow wrestlers and fans alike for being a no nonsense, rough and tough competitor. One of the biggest influential wrestlers in hardcore-wrestling, Terry Funk had a career in professional wrestling that spanned more than 50 years and included winning the NWA and ECW World Championships and his feuds against the likes of Mick Foley, Dusty Rhodes, and Ric Flair are etched in the panels of wrestling history.

Happy 70th Birthday to The Immortal Hulk Hogan! Perhaps the most recognizable and well known professional wrestler of all time, The Hulkster’s accolades and opponents he has defeated have helped shape and grow Hulkamania into the worldwide phenomenon that’s been running wild since the 1980s when he defeated The Iron Sheik in Madison Square Garden to win his first of many world championships. Since that fateful day, Hogan would go on to main event the first eight WrestleManias as he defeated the likes of Andre The Giant and Macho Man Randy Savage. After leaving the WWE in 1993, Hogan would sign with rival company WCW where in 1996, he reinvented himself, no longer a Real American and wearing red and yellow colors, this new Hulk Hogan became the leader of a group called the New World Order alongside Scott Hall and Kevin Nash as they terrorized WCW for the better part of three years. In 2002, Hogan returned to the WWE where he battled The Rock in a Icon vs Icon match at WrestleMania 18 in Toronto, Canada. Although he wore NWO colors, fans cheered on Hogan as if it was the 1980s all over again. This would convince Hogan to return to wearing the red and yellow and battle Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 19.

35 years ago today, N.W.A released their debut album Straight Outta Compton. A breakthrough for gangsta rap, the album depicts Compton’s street violence as well as lyrics that repeatedly threaten to attack peers and police. The controversial song “F**k Da Police” is featured on this album which drew attention to the FBI so much so that the group was issued a warning letter from an FBI agent. In 2016, it became the first rap album inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame. In 2017, the Library of Congress enshrined Straight Outta Compton in the National Recording Registry, who have deemed it to be "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant".

Ian Curtis was born on July 15, 1956. Curtis is best known for being the lead singer, guitarist, and lyricist of the post-punk band with whom he released both critically acclaimed albums Unknown Pleasures (1979) and Closer (1980). Ian Curtis was noted for his dark baritone voice, unique dancing style, and songwriting that was typically filled with imagery of loneliness, emptiness, and alienation. Struggling with epilepsy and depression, Ian Curtis took his own life at the young age of 23. To this day, Ian Curtis’ life and career is celebrated and remembered through his music.

27 years ago today, Hulk Hogan walked down to the ring during the main event of WCW Bash At The Beach, many assumed that The Hulkster was there to help the Macho Man, Lex Luger, and Sting fight off Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and their yet to be revealed mystery partner………..the wrestling world was shocked when Hogan had dropped his patented leg drop on his former Mega Powers teammate and revealed himself to be the third man alongside The Outsiders. With this defiant act, Hogan would proceed to usher a new name for his faction alongside Hall and Nash……….the New World Order for the better part of four years in World Championship Wrestling, the NWO ruled the world of professional wrestling.

O’Shea Jackson Sr. better known as Ice Cube was born. One of the most well known and most successful rappers to come out of the West Coast, Ice Cube was part of the legendary rap group N.W.A. alongside Eazy-E, Dr. Dre, and others. Cube would eventually leave the World’s Most Dangerous Group due to a dispute over compensation which Cube would successfully sue N.W.A. manager Jerry Heller. Ice Cube would go on to have a very successful solo career recording classic songs such as “No Vaseline”, “Check Yo Self”, and of course “It Was a Good Day”. In addition to being a rapper, Cube also ventured into acting as he starred in such films as Boyz n The Hopd and Friday. We here at No Latex Needed salute Ice Cube and wish him a happy birthday!

On this day 44 years ago, Joy Division released their debut album Unknown Pleasures. It is the only album in the bands history to have been released while frontman Ian Curtis was alive. The cover artwork was designed by artist Peter Seville who used a data plot of signals from a radio pulsar. Often regarded as one of the greatest British albums of all time, it is a cultural cornerstone that spans languages, interests and disciplines like precious few others.

Today, the world lost one of the most polarizing figures in wrestling history, The Iron Sheik. A former WWE Champion and World Tag Team Champion, he was the only Iranian champion in WWE history. He’s best known as the man that Hulk Hogan defeated to win his world championship and kickstart Hulkamania, The Iron Sheik was also part of a tag team alongside Nikolai Volkoff whom he won the tag team championships with at the inaugural WrestleMania. Even after his retirement from the squares circle, The Master of the Camel Clutch remained very popular throughout the internet due to his appearances on The Howard Stern Show, his vulgar language, and his intense dislike for Hulk Hogan. Simply put, there will never be another one like The Iron Sheik, we here at No Latex Needed send our condolences to The Iron Sheik’s family and friends as we imagine he’s probably in wrestling heaven right now breaking angels’ backs and making them humble. RIP Sheiky baby!

24 years ago today, Owen Hart tragically passed away after a stunt went wrong where Owen was in the process of being lowered via harness and grapple line into the ring during a WWF PPV in Kansas City, Missouri, he was only 34 years old. The youngest of twelve children of the famous Hart wrestling family, Owen achieved a lot of success in the WWE winning the tag team championships with three WWE Hall of Famers (Yokozuna, , and ) along with winning the Intercontinental and European Championships as well as the 1994 King of The Ring Tournament. He is survived by his widow Dr. Martha Hart and his two children Oje and Athena Hart who started an organization called which supports local, national, and international communities through scholarships, housing, and partnership programs. We here at No Latex Needed support The Owen Hart Foundation and remember the live and career of Owen Hart. Long live The King of Harts.
