This time of year can suck.
Some people love it; some people hate it.
Until this year, it’s always felt incredibly overwhelming for me. If you’re feeling that way right now, that’s okay.
When we consume too much “new year, new me” content or focus on everyone else’s goals, it can leave us feeling disconnected and unsure.
Instead of inspiring us, it can add pressure—especially if we’re not in the right headspace or don’t have the capacity to take it all in.
Something I’ve been reminding myself lately is:
“I take care of myself because I love myself.”
Not because I hate myself.
Not because I have to.
Not because I should.
But because I love myself, and I’m worth taking care of.
As business owners, we so often skip that part. We jump straight into:
“What do I need to fix?”
“What do I need to change?”
without stopping to ask: “What do I actually need?”
Maybe what you really need right now is rest. Time to reflect. To recover from the holiday season or the hectic start to 2025.
To let go of what you think you should be doing and start making decisions from a place of self-trust and clarity—not from pressure or comparison.
I mean, isn’t that why you started your business in the first place? To make your OWN decisions?
Get real with yourself about what you actually want this year to look and feel like—and make it sustainable. Don’t be afraid to hibernate a little. It’s winter, after all. 🤍🤍🤍🤍
