We will be hosting the annual Tree Lighting on the Square Monday, December 2nd. The evening will begin at 5 p.m. with Frosty the Snowman playing in the Rose Theater for the children. At 6 p.m. music and entertainment on the square followed by the lighting of the big tree. Pictures with Santa will be available both before and after the festivities. Come kick off the holiday season with us on the Square!

GO MP BULLDOGS!! Let’s all gather and line the streets of Forsyth from the red light at Lee and Main streets down to I-75. Be on the square at noon on Friday, November 22nd. Bring your signs, your pom poms, your flags and balloons!!!!

The Christmas Spirit Begins in Monroe County! The Rose Theater and The Backlot Players present "Christmas Belles" this week! Soon, the Christmas Tree Lighting and Santa will arrive on the square and our annual Christmas parade is scheduled! Also, check out what Rev. Darrell Watson is doing for Monroe County Habitat For Humanity!

You can make a difference in a child's Christmas. The Toy Run will be held on Saturday. You do not have to have a motorcycle to participate. Stop by and enjoy the entertainment of Big Mike & The B***y Papa's and enjoy some food at 1 p.m. There is a minimum donation of $10 per person. Please stop by and do it for the kids!! Thanks so much!

The Monroe County Toy Run will be holding a raffle for a Ch***pa Model 87 Lever Action 12 Gauge Shotgun valued at $1,495 for $5 each to benefit the children of Monroe County to have a Merry Christmas! You can purchase your tickets by calling Joey Proctor at 478-957-2853 or can can contact The Highlighter at 478-283-5712. The drawing will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 4 p.m. at the Monroe County Moose Lodge You do not have to be present to win but you do have to be 18 years old to purchase a ticket.
