The musical Come From Away is playing at Folsom's Harris Center this week. The show portrays the true story of the days after 9/11, when thousands of plane passengers were forced to briefly hunker down in the small town of Gander, Newfoundland. One of the show's stars graduated from Davis High School and spent their childhood performing in local venues, including Sutter Street Theater!

A festive ribbon cutting ceremony was held for the wildly popular Qamaria Yemeni Coffee house at 13405 Folsom Blvd. Besides using single origin beans from Yemen, the shop sells delectables such as rose milk cake and saffron milk cake!

Folsom’s beloved Powerhouse Pub celebrated 25 years in business with a festive ribbon cutting on Tuesday night. The epic pub has grown from a single bar to a space with five bars and three different stage areas for performers with specialty drinks. It’s a visual extravaganza, especially with Halloween right around the corner! Congratulations for 25 years of success!
