One of the most challenging decisions I had to make was flooring. I was concerned that the tongue n grooved pine ceilings would clash. Some of you know that the floors I had picked out were defective. So a decision had to be made quickly on floors that looked good and were in stock. I am MORE than pleased with the replacement floors! I think they are PERFECT!

A few things done this week!
Most of the trim work done. The remaining trim work is waiting on cabinets, custom closets, brick wall, and I few interior doors to be installed. One had to be re-ordered.
The stairs are installed. I love them.
The mud bench is installed.
They started wrapping the post outside. The plywood and brick ties are installed ... waiting for the brick guys to lay the brick.
And this may be boring but the real electrical is started... we passed the service inspection! That puts us closer to AC and LUGHTS! Getting AC puts us closer to having the TnG ceiling installed!
I think I can see the light at the end of the process.
There are 3 people who will be glad when this house is finished .. Me, Jim, and who do you think the third person is? Give me your best guess...

Wood accents for the house. Mantle is a reclaimed piece and already installed. I found a pine slab for the mud bench. And a live edge mani slab for the wetbar on the brickwall in the living area. Don't know what a mani tree is but we like the wood. Pine tounge and groove for ceilings on porch and vaulted area inside. NOW I NEED SOMEONE TO STAIN AND POLY or VARNISH THE TWO SLABS ... suggestions welcome.
