In August, the Alabama chair fight made national headlines when a brawl erupted between Black and White individuals on a river cruise dock. Two years prior in Florida, a similar altercation occurred when an irate Ferris wheel worker struck a Black woman as she disembarked the ride with her two children. The assailant, known as the Salty Carny, proceeded to assault the woman in front of her children until onlookers intervened.After what seemed like a resolution, a different Black woman attempted to board the Ferris wheel with her son. The Salty Carny accelerated the ride, separating the mother and son, with the mom inside the ride and her son dragged alongside the outer edge before being released. This triggered another attack by the man, who had now set the Parrish wheel to maximum speed and refused to allow anyone to disembark.
