A little refresh for one of our longtime clients.✨

We added bed sheet organizers to the linen closet. 🛏️ Added some structure in a few of the kitchen drawers.🍴Reorganized the pantry and added new bins and pop-containers.🫙And also installed a new shoe cabinet for the kids shoes (not pictured 😩). . .

This client’s funky style and colorful wardrobe was a fun one to organize today! ☀️ We categorized and color coded all of her clothes, helped her edit and purge some items, and were able to eliminate the rattan shelf unit and dresser from the middle of the closet! 💛 . .

The Shoals Chamber of Commerce is excited to announce that nominations are now open for the 2025 Spirit of the Shoals Business Awards, presented by Ron Tyler!

Special thank you to our Best of Business Awards sponsor, The Garrison Agency - Alfa Insurance, for supporting this celebration of excellence in our community.

Spirit of the Shoals is an annual gathering of Shoals businesses and the community to celebrate the successes from the past year, applaud outstanding local businesses, and honor individuals working toward the betterment of our community.

You can submit businesses in each category that you believe to be the best of business in the Shoals. Any business in The Shoals region is eligible for nomination. The top seven nominees in each category will then move on to a voting period. The top three finalists will be invited to the Spirit of the Shoals Business Awards held on March 20th, 2025 at the Shoals Community Theater.

Nomination period: January 15th - February 2nd.
Voting period: February 3rd - February 17th.

Start preparing these things ahead of time so you’re not scrambling on Christmas morning! 🎅🏼 🎁🎄 M E R R Y C H R I S T M A S ! !

🗣PSA: Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, friends, please be considerate of the space, needs, and wants of the person you’re buying gifts for this season.

Before you buy, ask yourself a few questions:
1. Do they need it?
2. Do they want it?
3. Do they have space for it?
4. Am I just buying this to fill a void of some sort (either not being able to see them enough or missing out on something special)?
5. Can my money be spent on something more meaningful for them?

QUALITY OVER QUANTITY‼️And it’s always a good idea to ask the parents (or anyone you’re buying a gift for) what they really want for Christmas (or whatever occasion). Experience gifts are always great for any age! (Movie tickets, concert tickets, museum passes, zoo passes, date night, dinner out, etc) 🎁 . .

We visited one of our sweetest clients yesterday and organized her primary closet. She lost her husband a while ago and she’s been working on cleaning out his things. This is never an easy thing to do no matter how much time has passed. After pulling everything out of the closet (& I forgot to get pictures before we started pulling his stuff out), we sorted his items into categories to be given to the kids/grandkids, their church, donations, and keepsakes.

The closet has an odd setup (and some of the wire shelves have already fallen off), so we reorganized with her items to be more functional and efficient for her. We utilized two racks that are easier to reach for her (one for pants and one for tops) and left the other racks empty as to not crowd the space.

We appreciate the opportunity to help our clients through the different stages in life, whether it’s welcoming a new baby, moving to a new home, loosing a loved one, or just everyday organizing and space planning. We hope to ease the stress and overwhelm when it comes to dealing with these things for our clients. 🫶🏼 . .

We wrapped up this beautiful custom his/hers closet today! 🤩 From the design, to planing out the shoe and purse placement, to product sourcing, this has been a labor of love. Minor finishing touches to be done, but love the end result and beautiful custom closet system from ❣️ . .

’Tis the season to give. 🤲🏼 This is a great time to declutter clothes, toys, electronics, and anything else you’re not using anymore or have outgrown (physically, emotionally, or spiritually).

Remember, holding onto things doesn’t return the money you spent on them. That money is gone and will not be regained by the item taking up space in your home. “Letting go isn’t a loss, but a step towards a more intentional life.” - Joshua Becker

There are many people out there who would love and could benefit greatly from your donations, so please don’t let them sit and take up space in your home.

Also, if giving to an individual, make sure they want or need it. There’s nothing worse than transferring your clutter to someone else who doesn’t want it 🙄 . . .

This sweet friend/client recently suffered a great loss. An out of town friend of hers reached out to me to gift her an organizing session since she couldn’t physically be here for her during this difficult time. Yesterday, we spent the morning putting her closet, bedroom, and bathroom back in order. ❤️‍🩹

Losing a loved one (especially unexpectedly) can put you in a tailspin you think you may never recover from. Often times friends and family members struggle to find ways to offer help and bring comfort during these difficult times. Gifting some sort of home service (organizing, cleaning, meal delivery, etc) can be such a blessing during these times.

However, please make sure if you are gifting an organizing session, that the recipient is open to this service and won’t feel pressured or ashamed by your gift. This was a longtime client of mine and her friend knows how much better she feels after an organizing session. Depending on the circumstances, it might not always be perceived that way and the last thing I want is someone wasting money on a gift that will never be used. 🫶🏼 . .
