Y'all the Johnsonville Heritage Festival was on 🔥!!! Thank you to everyone who makes this event possible each year, it was AWESOME and I'm just glad to be a part of it! Everywhere I turned, laughter and joy filled the air and the kids were having the time of their lives out there this weekend. Come join in on the festivities this weekend at the Johnsonville Heritage Festival! This is my favorite event to do each year because I always have SOOO MUCH FUN. Bring the kids and come hangout with us tonight and tomorrow, there will be PLENTY of things to do. Check out some of the highlights in the photos but this doesn't even touch it! There will be plenty more. It's a pretty big event, you don't want to miss out on it!

Clean Slate: Cream-to-Milk Cleansing Balm

This cleansing balm literally does it ALL:
1) Draws out stubborn blackheads, whiteheads, acne cysts, + impurities.
2) Effortlessly removes waterproof makeup, SPF sunscreen, + flaky dead skin.
3) Moisturizing and nourishing for dry skin types, can even be used on your LIPS!
4) Gentle daily cleanser that can be used several times in a day, if needed.
5) Helps with oil control for those who have oily skin.
6) Soothes redness and irritation

My product testing friends (aka LBSC guinea pigs😉🫶) and I have been using this cleansing balm religiously and I think it's safe for me to say that all of us have loved it and the results that we've experienced from using it daily on our skin!

HOW TO USE:

Use 1-2 times daily for cleansing, moisturizing and/or makeup removal.

1🫧 Scoop a quarter-sized amount with spatula + apply to dry skin.
2🫧 Massage the cream into your skin for a few minutes, focusing on areas where you may have clogged pores or waterproof makeup that you want to remove.
3🫧 Wet your hands with warm water and massage over everything once more to emulsify the cream + water. It will turn into a nourishing white milk that melts away impurities, excess oil, and makeup.
4🫧 Finish by rinsing your face with cool water to close your pores + gently pat dry with a soft microfiber cloth.
5🫧 To remove eye makeup, carefully massage around eye area with eyes closed.

⭐ TIP:
If I'm wearing makeup, I like to apply right before I take a shower to remove waterproof mascara etc. Then I use my charcoal facial bar in the shower (double cleanse, because my skin is awful and will breakout from leftover makeup residue) After the shower, I reapply a small amount of Clean Slate because I cannot get over how soft and moisturized my skin feels after using this balm!
Charcoal soap is a life saver and works really great for preventing breakouts but it can also dry your skin out. So this is an excellent moisturizing treatment for your face after you have used charcoal soap!

My cellphone and social media messages have been acting CRAZY y'all! Apparently people have been trying to call me and text me but NOTHING has been coming through! I don't know how long this has been going on but it's not just my cellphone, it's my Facebook messenger and Instagram messages too!

People have been asking me why I haven't responded back to them and I'm like "what are you talking about?" & My husband just came home from lunch and fussed at me because he thought I was ignoring him! 🤣
He sent me a text AND tried to call but I never got a thing! Have you ever read a confusing ingredient label and wondered what could actually be lurking in your suds?

Here's "The Dirty Truth" about common ingredients found in commercial soaps and body washes:

👉DID YOU KNOW- commercial soaps + body washes aren't technically soap at all! They're detergents packed with synthetic cleansing agents like laundry or dish detergent. Would you wash your skin with laundry detergent? 🤢

👉Let's talk about PARABENS: These preservatives are often added to prevent bacteria growth, but they come with a dark side. Linked to hormonal imbalances, allergies, tumors, obesity, and yes, even breast cancer. Scary stuff, right?

👉ARTIFICIAL FRAGRANCE + PHTHALATES: Artificial scents may smell nice, but they can trigger allergic reactions, especially for sensitive skin. Phthalates, found in some fragrances, are known endocrine disruptors linked to respiratory issues and hormonal imbalance.

👉TRICLOSAN: This antimicrobial agent sounds good on paper, but it's a troublemaker. Linked to hormone disruption and antibiotic resistance, plus it doesn't clean any better than regular soap. Not so impressive after all.

👉SODIUM LAURYL SULFATE (SLS): Often hailed as a gentle cleanser, but it's not always so friendly. Known to cause allergic reactions, dry out skin, and irritate by stripping away the natural skin barrier.

& this is just naming a few common ingredients! That's why I switched to making natural handmade soaps, and it's all we use in my household now! 🌱🙌
Say no to these nasty chemicals, ESPECIALLY if you have sensitive skin!

Do you have sensitive skin? I DO... 🙋‍♀️

If you know me, you KNOW how much I have struggled with my skin! It's embarrassing and unfortunately for me, it has been this way for as long as I can remember. My skin can be dry and flaky one day and then a week later it's oily and broken out. I've experienced bad reactions to products on the market that were supposed to help my acne but instead it caused redness, itching and burning, swelling, and even rashes! 🫣
I have learned to be very selective about the things I put on my skin or else I will pay the price. I remember the first time I ever tried washing my face with handmade soap, I was having a really bad breakout episode, which was typical for me but this was extremely BAD. My mother-in-law introduced me to handmade soap, she gave me a plain old bar of unscented charcoal. She told me how great it was and how "it's the best thing to use on your skin." To be honest- I was skeptically thinking to myself "this is just a plain old bar of soap, there are no special ingredients in it for acne. This isn't gonna do anything just like everything else 😕"

Later that night, I looked in the mirror and I was humbled by my desperation to clear my face up so I thought "what the heck, it definitely can't get any worse. I'll give it a shot!" 🤷‍♀️

& Y'ALL, hands to jesus 🙌 I washed my face with that plain old bar of charcoal soap for a week and my acne cleared up. It stayed gone UNTIL about 2 weeks after I ran out! I called her up and begged her to please get me some more soap ASAP 😂.

My skin doesn't always stay 100% clear, every now and then I will have a breakout or something that pops up (probably stress or food related) but since I started using handmade soap, my skin is 1,000x better than it was before! I don't stay broken out and I actually have clear skin for weeks or months at the time, not just a few days. What you use on the outside of your body matters just as much as what goes on the inside!

If you have sensitive/acne prone skin, I HIGHLY recommend trying my:

1)Charcoal Facial Bar-
Good for taking off makeup and oily, acne prone skin.

2)Unscented Rice Milk + Honey Bar!
Very gentle and creamy lather. This bar is formulated specifically for those who struggle with redness, irritation, or dry and flaky skin. (Eczema, Rosacea, etc..)

& For combo skin, rotate between both!
